FWIW: I used Raxco Instant Rescue on two seperate Win 8/8.1 systems. It was not reliable on my systems. I personally would never use it again. YMMV. (This was about 1 1/2 years ago. It may be an improved product now.)

It did save my azz on one occaision on each system by allowing me to access the "Rescue Partition" and run my PC from there for a period of time, but it never was able to restore my main partition to a workable condition by copying the Rescue Partition back to my main partition. Also there became a time when I was not able to choose which partition to boot into. Each system eventually had to be reset with a Windows Installation Disc after trying to copy the Rescue Partition to my main drive. Each attempt either failed, wouldn't allow me to select the Rescue Partition, or bricked my PC, and this was after several communications between myself and Raxco Support (which offers outstanding, fast responses to try to solve issues btw. ) I was given a refund.

It will also increase your scan and defrag times because using it results in a a duplicate of a significant part of your working system being placed on your hard drive. It's a great idea in concept, but in practice for me it was a fail. Raxco support, as good as it is, was never able to determine why Instant Rescue failed on my systems. (Susie C. at Raxco Support is great and was persistent/relentless in trying to come up with a solution.) All of Raxco's suggested fixes failed. I was using BitDefender Internet Security at the time. Dunno if that had anything to do with it.

Everyone's system/configuration is different and it just may have a been a particular program or combination of programs and settings I use that conflicted or otherwise interfered with Instant Rescue. Just know that from my personal experience IMHO there is a certain level of risk in trying it. If you are have a WIN 1067 OS, I wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot pole at this time.
