You can control these network requests with uBlock0 (or in a more granular way with uMatrix) by opening its logger and choose behind-the-scene requests in the page selector (upper left corner). Click one of the

    bts.png

symbols in the second column and the Dynamic Filtering window (in uMatrix the behind-the-scene matrix) opens where you can, e.g., block whatever you want - with the risk that things might break! And if you click one of the (empty) fields in the 4th column a dialogue opens where you can create Dynamic URL filters or static filters for that specific request. I suggest to read the corresponding wiki site.

I don't see any anti-blocker thing on that site. Using default settings.

I did see ads on that site though, and created a filter to take care of them -- added to uBlock filters.

With UBO in static mode, is there a way to block/delete social media buttons on websites?

Tick "Fanboy's Social Blocking List" in 3rd party filters.

I found this rule using the Element Picker:

    Code:
    ! 25.8.2016, 11:56:24 http://www.diablofans.com/?cookieTest=1
    www.diablofans.com##.sourcepoint-wrapper
Add it to your rules, click "Apply changes" and reload the site . Please report if it works for you.

I'm not seeing ads when I allow cursecdn in uMatrix but I've got all the Easylist, Fanboy and Adguard filters enabled on ublocko plus ublockO websocket.

    Did you click "Apply changes"?

This is what I temporarily allowed in uMatrix. Above rule works for me.

Does it make sense to enable both of these? I'm kind of confused :doubt:

I'm running Firefox 48.0.2 & uBlock 1.9.4 inside Sandboxie (FF installed on host outside SBIE) on Windows 10 1607 x64 and I'm having issues with the uB Logger: it doesn't display anything it blocked. I've allowed access to the entire FF profile in Sandboxie, but I guess uB needs access to something additional or is it just an issue in conjunction with SBIE?

3x0gR13N, I use ABP but a few minutes ago I tested Ublock origin in Firefox in W7. The Logger as far as I can tell works fine in the sandboxed Firefox. When you open the logger, you need to click:

    Sin título.png

After doing that you ll see the display. You don't have to allow access to the Firefox profile folder or anything for the results to be displayed. You can allow access to ublockO.sqlite if you like to make changes to filters or update filters in the sandboxed environment, that you can do. You ll find that file in the Extension data folder in your Firefox profile folder.

Unfortunately it doesn't work immediately. After some time it will start working, but when and why is a mystery.
I'm using the latest SBIE 5.13.5 beta, since I'm on the Anniversary update. Will poke around some more and post my finding on the Sandboxie forums eventually.

In my testing, it works immediately. But I am not in W10. If you are using a real time scanner, it might cause a delay as it does its thing when the log window opens (maybe). Even if it only happens when you run Firefox sandboxed, it could be the scanner creating the delay as SBIE gets introduced in the mix. :)

Is there a way to make this site load properly without locally nooping any of the 3rd party cells? Thanks for any help. I know how to allow the 3rd party stuff but rather not if I can help it...the only way that works so far is locally nooping all 3 3rd party cells.

I have all 3rd party stuff blocked globally in ubo and on this site, the top stories on the right isn't loading, so is there a quick way to figure out what needs to be allowed on a webpage or is it just trial and error?

I block all 3rd-party by default as well. For me, it is usually trial and error based on what I'm seeing in the logger. I'm also interested to hear if anyone has any better tips.

I learnt something trying it as I never knew it existed, but it wasn't permanent. It's no big deal as Ublock blocks everything else. Thanks.
