    No, I didn't experience that.

I'm curious of what you mean by "beta testing license" of AppGuard. Do you mean that there were licenses specifically distributed for beta testing? Or do you mean that current AG 4.x licenses are considered "beta" licenses? I guess the latter, correct?

Beta testers have beta licenses; there were only a few distributed to the most active testers of 4.4.6.1 and earlier versions.

So far, most of what I have changed in AG's settings was inspired by some posts I read on this topic. However, I was taking a look at the user space area this afternoon, and I saw this. Everything is included, except the appdata stuff. Is it normal ? I don't remember changing anything to that part, so I was just wondering.

The appdata\local\apps\2.0 folder is the click-to-run apps. It is included in the default AppGuard policy and set to "No."

Can I check if the latest Appguard Version runs compatible with Sandboxie/Shadow Defender?

    Any settings to adjust?

    A. Both Sandboxie and Shadow Defender are compatible with AppGuard.

    B. Settings adjustments in AppGuard for Shadow Defender - NONE.

    C. Settings adjustments in AppGuard for Sandboxie:

    1. AppGuard tray icon > right-click > AppGuard... > Customize > Guarded Apps tab > Settings > Add > C:\Sandox > OK > Exception Read\Write (drop-down menu)

    2. You can add C:\Sandbox to User Space - and then create exceptions for (exclude the process from User Space) any programs that you have allowed to run in Sandboxie

For example, when I used Sandboxie I only allowed Cyberfox and any additional required processes to run sandboxed. I added C:\Sandbox to User Space (YES), but excluded Cyberfox from User Space (NO) - so that Cyberfox could execute.

Anyone interested in checking their AppGuard license via cmd.exe:
    • This should give you some information about why the server is not providing you with the correct status.
    • Sometimes if your PC characteristics have changed enough, that will be enough to invalidate the license (for example after a major update like W10 Anniversary Update).
    • Easy way to retrieve License ID and Password (sock it away somewhere safe...)

I always have to uninstall AG before rolling my machine back to a previous backup image because their license validation software thinks I am using my license on a different machine each time I roll my machine back. Barb checked twice about 1.5 years ago, and she informed me that it was due to external hard drives I connect to my machine, and my MAC address had changed.

I do not like their license validation software which is through a third party. I also wish it was possible to login online to manage my license.

Can anyone post any Activity Report block events by AppGuard for tray icon apps -- just for example:
    • Pointer Device
    • IgFixTray.exe
I am trying to collect evidence to present - so that perhaps a way can be implemented to prevent block events for legitimate\safe tray applications.

I been getting those every since I installed Appgurd.

I get them too. It causes no problems. There's one of three solutions - user can safely continue to ignore the blocks, have BRN suppress the block events in Activity Report, or have BRN implement an allow for tray applications.

The problem is that tray shortcuts are a bit tricky and the details need to be sorted out.

I've already submitted a bug report.
