Is the linux kernel ready for such a implementation?

There seems to be massive push lately for by Nvidia for better linux support. Thoughts?

I hope so... Bumblebee is by far not optimal and configuration of other stuff gets really complicated when using optimus.

Right now the nvidia + intel gpu are like two completely different things. I could just use two computers connected to one screen and a hdmi switcher.

The problem is the the X-org stack is showing its age.

Linux is still far away from being able to handle modern monitors and rich color output.

And the fonts in Linux look ugly on the screen.
