Go here and drag this file into the Open Chrome Browser with the Extension page open and it will ask if you want to install!

Okay put this in the RUN Command: %programdata% then go to the WRData Folder then the PKG Folder and you will see the lpchrome.crx file then drag that into the open Chrome Browser with the Extension page open and it will ask for you to install!

ProgramData Folder is a hidden Folder!

hayc59...Check out Sherry's post here for a good explanation. I'm assuming you're not seeing the padlock all the time, and only when a protected app is in use?

You're very welcome G! :) No it doesn't slow anything down...it's intended primarily as a notification (and reassurance) when a protected application is in use. Don't hesitate to ask if you need any further guidance. "Danny Boy" should be back on board shortly if you need him to elaborate further.

    HTH,

    Dermot

From within the Browser! Also you must be using the Beta Download with the BETA keycode!

    Here in Firefox!

Q: Is it normal when a scan last a few hours? I installed webroot almost a year ago on my parents laptop, and use the web console to monitor the scans results, and the scans were always a few seconds to a few minutes max, but in the last 2 days there were 2 scans that lasted over 2 and 4 hours. Any reason why it would do this?

No it's not unless you are doing a full system scan, in which you don't have to do so I would suggest that you do a clean reinstall on that system.

    Please follow the steps closely!
    • Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example: SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
    • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
    • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE) Let us know if it is the Mac version you need.
    • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
    • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and do NOT import any settings if offered by the installer as you can set it up as you like once it's done
    • Let it finish it's install scan
    • Reboot once again
    Thanks,

    Daniel ;)

Nothing uninstalls and reinstalls faster than WSA! It only takes a few minutes. :p

WSA runs great on the Mac, smooth updates, no slow downs. It hasn't caught anything yet. :thumb: :D
