I'm sorry but I have been Beta testing VS since the beginning and have been working with Dan behind the scenes since, so you can say I know how VS works.

So it's a yes I always click save. And again Dan knows there are issues on the backend on there servers so I was just asking him if it was fixed yet?

    Daniel XD

Hey everyone, here is the latest version, and here is what was changed.

    - Added even more logging to see if we can isolate the freeze issue. I think there were a couple of different things causing the freeze issue, mainly because various users would describe the bug a little different. Also, VS used to freeze on my every 2 or so days, now it is every 10-15 days. Either way, we have to be getting close to figuring it out.
    - The bug that guest found in Custom Folders should be fixed, if not, please let me know.
    - I also just last night discovered a bug... I think someone mentioned this to me before, I was not sure what they meant. Anyway, for example, if you are running VS on AutoPilot and you download something with Internet Explorer, then try to run the file, VS will think it is an exploit (even though it is not). Anyway, that is fixed now, and AutoPilot should be even more user-friendly now. I do not think there is a chance that fixing this bug opened up a security hole, but if something is not quite right, please let me know!

    Thank you guys!

Thank you, I got them... by the way, was VoodooAi enabled or disabled? If it was enabled, can you please disable it for a couple of days and see if the freeze issue still occurs? Thank you!

Hey TH, sorry about that, I am still waiting to hear from Dywayne. He is out of state right now... and I am really bad with web development, so we better wait for him. Thank you!

Upgraded to latest 3.30 Beta, everything is great so far, only freeze i have is when selecting 'Register' column for like 2 seconds, but same was with 3.29, I have not experienced any other VoodooShield 'freezing', running together with WSA on Win x64 Edu. I love that VS is actively developed and developer is interacting with its users, i think its just matter of time when VS 'snowballs' even bigger. Live long VoodooShield :)

    Hi Dan,

In this version again is checked allow by parent process.

Do you think to change this into the near future? If not i do not see the point be a beta tester.

    Best Regards,

    Piter!

piter? why should it be unchecked? are you using a browser not in the list? I am not sure what you are talking about.

VS is it ok to use VS with another antiexploit like malwarbytes? or will they conflict?

Correct SHvFI. Also MBAE compatibility was covered in and around post #10810. I can confirm that there is no issue and they work well together.

    Dan,

I haven't had VS installed for a few weeks because I am beta testing another program but I have installed 3.30 and will send you the logs if and or when VS freezes.

    Thanks.

Edit: Have you had a chance to look into the dismhost.exe issue?

Regarding the Web Apps, I have just clicked on "Auto Detect Additional Web Running Apps" and two additional apps have appeared.

One is WRSA which is the exe file for Webroot, my AV. Not sure if I should save this or not?

The second one is UNS. I have no idea what this is. When I do a Google search, the results appear in German which leads me to think that it may have something to do with SoftMaker Office which is the (excellent) office suite that I use and is a German firm. Grateful if anyone can throw any light on this one as well.

In the meantime I have not saved either of them.

    EDIT
I did however update to 330 and can confirm that all continues to run well. :)

I wouldn't add the Webroot one myself.

Ooops, before I forget, I just noticed that the right "OFF" column in Custom Folders is working correctly, but I forgot to check the left "ON" column until now, and it still behaves like before. Should the left column behave like the right column, or is it better to leave it the way it is? Thank you!

Thank you Piter... yeah, I left it as it is for now until we decide exactly what to do with it... it is an easy change, I just have to change a True to a False.

Do you not have a VS Pro license? If not, please let me know and I will set one up for you.

Hey Krusty, sounds great... I do not remember where we stood on the dismhost issue... I will look through my notes to help me remember. If it continues to be a problem, please let me know and I will look at it again, now that I know how the new method that Vlad created for this works ;). Thank you!

Hey Cache... yeah, that feature basically detected anything that is sending and receiving packets, so there might be a few odd apps like Webroot that should not be selected (thank you Krusty). Thank you!

    Thanks Dan,

Tested in a new VM and VS did not stop " Visual C++ " during Win. update. As it did before.
