You are quite welcome and indeed I had. However, it then renders a giant red warning, as you are probably aware of, thus I presently have it enabled. So two questions: Is there a means to remove that? Assuming I want to keep it active, is it robust enough out of the box? I mean I haven't tweaked a thing and there are a gazillion settings. Current overkill here with Sandboxie, Malwarebytes (Premo), Norton Security and now this. Having said that, wife, children, grandchildren's exploring hands and I'm not so proud as to state I'd never incur a security breach, all on here in the course of a month! Thank you!

I installed paid version on 3 machines and two will not shut down. Emailed for help. Saturday don't expect reply.
Uninstalled on laptop and shut down ok.

Win 10 64 bit and added ignore to other security programs.

What did you do to fix it. If you did get it working.

I added programs and the laptop started to work ok.
Still have to test it this morning to see if still ok.

Spent some time on the desktop & still no luck.

Thought I got it working on 2 out of 3 before I found more problems on each. I did buy it, however I asked for my money back.
Will wait to see how that is handled !!!

I will use the free Bitdefender program on each until something that works comes along.

This is not good to hear. I just bought a license, but haven't installed WinAntiRansom yet. This makes me leery of installing until I find out more about potential problems.

I have not had any issues on x64 W10 PC I built with a SSD. I only have 8g of RAM (not much for a lot of x64 builds) but rarely does it ever even use 3) and have been checking usage via Task Manager. It literally is about the same whether it's enabled or not. I can also shutdown without issue, however, when I booted it blocked a false positive service but I then allowed it. My complaint is that despite setting notifications to one minute, the giant red warning that it's disabled doesn't go away. Despite the fact that it has almost zero impact, I'm on the fence as to whether I really need it. Anyone know how to get rid of the warning? Thank you!

Having a problem ? Why not email their support ! Doesn't do any good posting here if they don't read the forum.

I don't know what's happen in details, but I believe is Process Lasso or Eset Smart Security the problem, also if you install as admin like they suggest, on the reboot you cannot shutdown anymore.

    Windows 10 x64.

Eset is running so good in my machine that I didnt want to unistall it because of WinAntiRansom, but I could give it a try to see if it is really a conflict.

I keep the Firefox flash plugin at Ask to Activate. Lately I've noticed it takes a really, really long time to start any flash videos. I was just disabling the WAR services but have since uninstalled it. I have my lifetime license so I'll try it again when I see here that there is a new version. Norton Security, Malwarebytes (Premium) and Sandboxie may be to much at one time, however, other than what I just described it's been pretty snappy and would have never realized anything was different from prior to the installation!

I watched a couple of videos showcasing WAR, and it was impressive to see it stop all of those samples with the BB. But just to make things clear, does it really stop all ransomware with the behavior blocker, or does it also use signatures? And why does it need a whitelist, is it because it generates a lot of false positives?

I'm a newb when it comes to this but can someone explain why I should get this software when, if Microsoft are to believed, even their very average windows defender "detects and removes" Petya, Cerber, ZCryptor.A, Locky.A and probably other similar ransomware?
