So I thought, but no, it is still there. I checked after updating to 47 and I note that it is still set to "false" in about:config.

I hope they push it back in every release to leave the switch in place as it is.
It went fine and eveything seems to be working O.K.

good grief someone help them out of moebius. ridiculous.
the old extension system is nearly dead when starting 2017 so why to consider their developers?

i registered on AMO when the first forced signing was active - started in aug'15.
was restrictive but now you get almost signed anything (for private use).

    thx

I am currently using the Firefox 45.0.2 browser and I have been receiving notification that this browser does not support video playback; other than that it seems to be working fine. Today I downloaded Firefox Setup 47.0, I believe this is the latest version, and before installing I wanted to ask if anyone still using Windows XP Professional, sp3, 32bit had installed this version and if so were they having any difficulty with it. And if the newer version supports the video playback or not. Anyone with the same Operating System who has downloaded and installed the 47.0 version I would appreciate hearing your experience. As always I appreciate all replies and would thank you in advance.

No issue whatsoever running Firefox 47 in my XP 32 bits SP3 Professional. All, including video playback, is as good as ever. :)

I use my XP for fun and run it a lot harder than my W7. In this computer, I stream major sports games all the time and watch YouTube videos a lot. I haven't seen any kind of video playback messages with this Firefox version or any as far as I can remember.

Have you noticed the 'update addons button' gives no more updates as of late?
I mean there used to be 2/5 updates a week, now 1 a month, what's up?
    Say, NoScript for one.

I understand and no offense intended. I was just poking a little fun at this since there have been so many discussions about if/when a new version of Firefox has been released :)
