Do you mean the license would expire even if you don't activate your license on any PC?
Not true. If you do not activate your license on any PC, the license is not active, and the license expiration countdown is not started.

    Is this an isolated incident?

Btw, i haven't received an update notification to 374 on any of the 9 PCs that has HP.Alert installed. Does this mean, that the roll-out has been paused?

Same here, for my PCs. I suppose automatic updating was not enabled, yet.
The release notes were updated on the website, but not posted on Wilders Forums, as Erik or Mark usually do. Puff-m-d posted the release notes on Wilders.
I suppose Erik and Mark are just way too busy.

What antivirus engines does HitManPro use for its scanning? I read it somewhere before, but can't remember off the top of my head.

It currently uses the Bitdefender and Kaspersky engines.

If you have any further questions about HitmanPro, please ask in this thread.

Actually, it uses its own engine and only uses Bitdefender and Kaspersky if the file is uploaded for cloud scanning.

Anyone else having a problem with HitmanPro.Alert build 374 not showing in the taskbar? I didn't have this problem in 373. I have uninstalled (twice) and restarted the system, and then reinstalled Alert, but still the same problem exists. It's running in the background because the flyouts are working when opening the browser and other programs, and also showing in the processes. Running Windows 10.

There is an option when you right click the Tray icon to hide it but if you have clicked that I don't know how you bring it back. Have you tried Reset Settings?

I didn't hide the icon, as it was visible in the 373 version before the update to 374. I did try and reset the settings, but it didn't fix the tray icon. Does anyone know if Surfright has a removal tool, to totally clean the system of HitmanPro/Alert so I can reinstall and see if that fixes the problem?

Hi Erik, getting this in MPC-BE. If I uncheck nullpage, it works fine

Edit: Noticed another interesting thing. I downloaded the Keepass 2.34 setup and renamed that to Keepass before executing. Got the following

However if I undo the filename change, it works fine.

Actually, HitmanPro's local Forensics Scan finds and determines the threats, our Crusader engine kills the threat and additional intelligence comes from Sophos, Bitdefender and Kaspersky.

Ah! Thanks for clarifying, Mark.

Gentleman, what a superb video of Sophos including your product. Would you give the marketing/PR people of Sophos my deepest respect and tell them that this video is a world class example on how to deal with media attacks. It is really the best corporate communication counter(strike) I have ever seen.

Why it is so great? (see this for background info https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cFdCzN7RYbw)
    1. The informative meeting setup.
      a) Curiosity: we don't get any clues on the group (a class or a group attaining a seminar), the topic is announced and immediately mentions the trigger words as "So as many of you have heard about the amazing claims of new security vendors about next generation ...""
      b) Exclusion: The trigger word "as many of you", will trigger the response "Yes I heard of it, but No not in detail, so what is this all about? Let's have a look ..."
      c) Herd confirmation: the group in the class is small enough to be viewed upon as exclusive, yet big enough to trigger our herd instincts

    2. The speaker
      d) Authority: the setup emphasis the speakers authority, but the really easy to understand infographic of the Nasty Nine, is the winnner. This confirms his authority. I am looking at a speaker who really knows where he is talking about.
      e) Liking: obviously there are hints of an unfair playing ground and disabling features commited by Cylance. Opposed to these questionable tactics we hear the really nice and reasonable man of Sophos saying the first test is a draw, while Sophos obviously is the (close) winner. He stays a sportsman when being faced by faul play: so I am in favor of Sophos from now.

    3. The content
      f) Consistancy: we like consistancy, this element is well played in the brilliant infographic of the Nasty Nine: Sophos is consistantly doing great
      g) Consensus: Cylance performing worse is confirmed by independant tests, so the claims of Cylance are clearly a lie.
      i) Subliminal branding: all Sophos content is functional, no name dropping or brand stuffing. The speaker walks to and fro the display screen, when walking away the camera position changes and also happens to show a poster of Sophos in the background. That is all.

    4. The title
I saved the best for last. The video is called "Cylance review: real world tests vs Sophos" With the video having over 1500 views right now, guess what is shown as number one when I search for Cylance review in Youtube: exactly the Sophos video

      upload_2016-6-24_11-12-3.png
This is really a neat example on how to apply the science of persuasion in corporate commuunication. No sarcasm or critism, just deep admiration for the Sophos marcom department. Sophos bought your company, because of the added value of your products, but Sophos adds a lot of value to your product also (besides their own products and customer base they are a powerhouse in marcom).

    Congrats.

    Kees

The problem with the slow web-interface with TP-Link routers still remains with Hitmanpro.Alert 3.1.11.374. To bad this problem takes so long to fix.. :(

Also I haven't heard anything back from Erik regarding his offer to do a remote session on my pc to troubleshoot the problem..:(

I have just ordered a TP-Link router. Expect a post regarding this issue next week.

For my information, are you using an IPv6 network on your LAN?

HitmanPro.Alert 3.5 new Private Beta available

The build addresses issues and contains several improvements. Also there is a new feature.

Some existing testers have received a PM with the link to the new build. If you have not received a PM from me yet, please do not hesitate to PM me to receive the link to a new build.

    Cheers,
    Erik

Why actually is the beta private while anyone can still request access?
