hello everyone, does anyone know if they is a fitting kit to fit a ssd drive into a 3.5 hard drive bay, i know there is a conversion kit!! but this kit needs to be for a vertical 3.5 hard drive bay not a Horizontal hard drive bay?? i have a conversion kit but it doesn't seem to work in a vertical bay?? thank you
Huh? Never heard of that. It should not matter if horizontal or vertical. You want something like this. That said, I know several people who have just used a piece of Velcro and attached the drive to the bottom of case, or, if room, on the motherboard backplane. It works great, is inexpensive looks tidy, and does not interfere with any air flow as a drive, and its cables, mounted in a drive bay can. Note newer cases are coming designed to mount SSDs behind the motherboard with 4 simple mounting screws. Very nice for good tidy cable management.
Any bay that can fit a hard drive will use the existing 2.5 to 3.5 drive bay kit. All they are doing it standing them up, they arent changing the SATA connection locations or the screw locations.
