How would you compare SSM to process Guard

Do you think SSM v1.9.5 is now as good as Process Guard or do you think it is better?

SSM seems to work very nicely on my system now, where before i had problems with the plug-ins (in v 1.9.4). Now it seems to be working great, so far.

 

I tried PG and it was way too confusing for my tired old brain. There is a bit of a learning curve to learning how to get full potential out of SSM, but it is outstanding right out of the box, so to speak.

With the new lower level of protection offered by SSM, I consider it my strongest defense against most malware that may affect me today.

One other strength is that the author wants people to report any problems to him as he is anxious to have a product that is bug free.

I think this issue has been discussed quite a lot in the software and services section as well as the processguard forum. Just search for "ssm" in either of the two and you will probably get quite a few hits.

I believe that the new SSM now operates with a kernel driver as well though (which root mentioned).
