    I still get build 263 when I download the (64 bits) executable, but auto-update offers build 265?

    Maybe you don't see this every time, but if you're in Shadow Mode with Shadow Defender it can happen that you see this bootkit-message. It's a false positive.
    Another member mentioned this bootkit-message a while ago:

    I just discovered they offer 2 different downloads on their site:
    • http://dl.surfright.nl/HitmanPro_x64.exe
    • http://files.surfright.nl/hitmanpro_x64.exe
    One is build 263, the other 265.

    Give them a break they will be busy with the Sophos Clean launch and other things.

    Anybody have any recent experience of Surfright technical support? Raised a ticket over a week ago to reset a license and apart from an initial "we will get back to you" I have heard nothing despite repeatedly adding chasing comments to the ticket. Does not seem like very good support, especially as now part of Sophos.

    I have to agree with you here,but not to be unexpected...how many other times have we seen when a small developers program is taken over by a large Corp, that the personal aspect is lost completely,and things start to deteriorate...Eg...Over a week to post the Build 265 updates,when normally they were almost instantaneously posted...

    "Build aligned with Sophos Clean."...I,m wondering if this means the end of HitmanPro being a "free" on demand scanner,and having to go to Sophos Clean which is only free for 30 days!!

    We updated everyone to 265 when Sophos Clean went live. We forgot to update the release notes as not much was changed. Sophos has a QA department which is a whole lot more diligent than we are used to so we were rather busy getting stuff aligned with their standards. Things got caught in the middle.

    Sophos Clean and HitmanPro use the same license. You can scan for free ALWAYS, cleaning is free for 30 days. Cleaning after 30 days requires paid license. Same for both products.

    Our existing support employee is working 2 days less per week. To replace the hours we got help from Sophos employees, but they do not yet have the tooling to reset keys.

    In any case, activate the license via Alert, this ties the key to the hardware instead to the Windows installation.

    We will update HitmanPro with the new mechanism in the near future.

    Thanks, the explanation helps, though I would still not expect to be waiting after a week. Not causing me a problem at the moment so hopefully it will get resolved in the next few days.

    Sophos Clean and HitmanPro are two different products or two names for the same product?
