Is 360 Extreme Explorer installed in the Program Files directory? If it is installed in AppData or ProgramData, then VS has a tough time with a few things.

I tried to find a link to download 360 EE, but I could not figure out exactly what you were using, so can you please post a link so I can test it? Thank you!

It's in the AppData folder. You can download it here.

When VS is working fine it is causing no issues at all with 360 Extreme Explorer. However, sometimes VS is not working as it should. I think VS even caused problems launching Chrome two days ago.

This is a Virus Total issue, not a Voodooshield or SBIE, issue. SBIE related processes in relatively new builds are often flagged by AV vendors - not because they are dangerous but because they are new and used by relatively few users.

VS uses VT results so will tell you what AV vendors are currently flagging. If there are a number flagging a file it will advise you to block. Need to blame AV vendors, some of whom rely far to heavily on a file's prevalence, rather than SBIE/VS I'm afraid.

VS does tell you that the file is signed by Invincea and you will have a AI score as well as the detection rate. AI though can flag SBIE processes as well because of the activities they undertake.

    Cheers

Hey Moose, how are you? I think it would be best for Invincea to report these false positives to McAfee and Rising. I noticed that the VoodooAi score was quite low (0.1844), and at some point VoodooAi will be able to override the blacklist even more than it does now, but we are not quite there yet with it, since it is such a young / new technology. Thank you!

Cool, thank you... btw, I know older versions of Chrome used to install to appdata... is that true with the version you are running? Running web apps from appdata is kind of tricky for VS, but I might be able to make some adjustments.

Here is 3.18... I hope everything is just right now, but please let me know if you guys find anything.

I disabled the "Synchronize and backup my whitelist snapshot to the cloud option by default" for now. Users that have old snapshots before we included the SHA-256 hash in the database would have experienced some issues. We are going to be moving this to the VoodoAi cloud soon anyway, so now is a good time to make that change.

If anyone has any problems, please delete all of the .dat files in C:\ProgramData\VoodooShield

    Thank you!

No issues with install over the top of 17, or after a reboot.

Download of installer was a bit slow though !

    VoodooShield,

Why did you remove blacklisted stuffs option from advanced i.e Java, Rundll, etc...?

I use to uncheck those on my family system to use VS as blacklist scanners & VoodooAi only & not alert for blacklisted stuffs.

Please add back blacklisted stuffs option.

I removed those several versions back, about a month ago or so... vulnerable processes are all handled automatically now, although I will be adding a better way for the user to modify these sometime soon.
