Can you share some of your NOD32 v9 Device Control rules?

How we can make a restriction rule/s for removable medias like usb flash drive, cd/dvd, cellphone etc...to prevent autorun virus or trojans?

Device control does not serve for disabling Autorun and Autoplay features in Windows. Read https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/967715 for instructions how to accomplish it.

Got your point but I was then thinking bout the functionality of the device control built into NOD32.

Spyshelter has the restricted apps list where we can add programs etc to restrict there action over the pc....do you think we can do the same using device control? I am just using their free version and this functionality was been become available only to premium version.

I have acer laptop on windows 8.1 and also has desktop pc on windows xp sp3 pro.

What rules you can suggest for ordinary users, just to improve protection?

Are you confusing Device Control with Host Intrusion Prevention System, perhaps?

You can use Device control to block or allow access to specific removable devices. It doesn't control the Autorun and Autoplay Windows features.
