I think only the retail version not the free. Whoever has the ZAfree installed can check in the advance settings of the AV section.
seems i found the answer to my own question. i always used the update link near the top right of ZA cos it would always download the definitions and also check for updates to the program itself (althought the latter never worked) seems this behaviour changed with the latest version and that top right link now only checks for program updates, and as a result i havent been getting any new definitions since i installed the latest version and ive been left with definitions that are a week+ old Today i used the blue 'update now' button further down and this spent quite a while updating definitions. anyway now ZA detects all 13 samples i mentioned in the post above... So keep that in mind if ur using ZA - Blue button to update definitions! not the other one
