Here we go again, another MBAM false positive - Unknown.Rootkit.Driver, C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\drivers\igdkmd64.sys once again.

I am ignoring this for now as I have reported it to MBAM Support.

Excuse me for jumping in here, but can someone show me where to locate Quarantine in the MBAM Gui? I know it's got to be there but I can't locate it. Thanks.

I updated 1.75 to 2.0.4 and then turned on mbam self-defense.

Today i noticed that i have broken old Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware shortcut icon, that i cannot delete or update, i am logged as Admin, but it did seem that i have no Administrator permissions. i did think User Account is broken.
Then i remembered mbam has self-defense turned on.
it's pretty strong when you can't even delete broken shortcuts, there was nothing in:
Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware -folder, even folder was deleted.
2.0.x is installed at Malwarebytes Anti-Malware -folder.
tiny differense is that this is missing after Malwarebytes word:
    '

    i find this so funny.
ps: all is fine now, old shortcut deleted and mbam self-defense turned on again, at least i tested it works.

I'll keep looking at these post to see if MalwareBytes has improved it's scan time or if a new version has been released. IMO a once very good app has been messed with an has gone the way that happened when the Coke formula was changed. I am talking about the FREE version.

    Always,
    Wildman

I see they still have big ad banners in version 2.0.4 for their other products, blogs, chameleon etc. I also see that if you still disable the false positive prone web protection, the dashboard screams at you in red that you have it disabled, it also has the exclamation mark on the tray icon when it is disabled. Thought they were supposed to be putting the option to disable those warnings but after several builds it still does it.

It was flagging most file hosting sites as dodgy as well as lots of other sites, that is why I have always disabled it. I would just like the option not to show all the dire warnings when it is disabled. I also don't like ads in software that I have paid for even if it is for their other products.

Maybe add those site IPs to the exclusions list? Re the ads, I also remember them saying they would be removed at some point; hopefully they're just running late :)

    MBAM Update settings value.png

The update settings value of notify user after [xyz] value data does not render back to any defaults if this is manually changed by a user.

Yes, that does return the value to "notify user if database is out of date for more than 7 days".

The MBAM Team are aware of this.

So I have not upgraded MBAM to version 2.0+ until now. I have a lifetime premium license from a purchase a long time ago. But after upgrading I get a message that I have a free version and have to pay $24.95. My old license does not work now.

I've had the same problem before, i 've just send a mail to Malwarebyte's support with my lifetime licence ID and CODE, and they return me back a activation code which work like a charm.

    rules.

I think they remove signatures for obsolete malware that is not active for some time (in-the-wild)...

I really don't believe MBAM adds much to an otherwise well protected machine, unless you download PUPs often.

Has MalwareBytes Anti-Malware Pro Ever saved you from an infection?
