my mistake. It will be fixed in v2.47 as the version, we are running internally, does not show this UI issue.

scheduled cleaning doesnt seem to work on win 10 , or am i doing something wrong?

 

That is its starting privazer but it doesnt start cleaning automaticly

Great thanks! another question , you said a while back that you added installer to chocolatey.org but i cant find privaZer in their repo?

 

we did not take the time to write a chocolatey package

but we added a "-silent" option to the PrivaZer installer as described here :

Are you able to write a chocolatey package for PrivaZer?

 

I just installed 2.49 and found that it now removes all pinned items for 3 programs in my task bar:
- folders from Explorer and
- documents from LibreOffice calc
- documents from LibreOffice writer
no matter how I set my config.
Please explain how I can retain those pinned items

no changes for 2.49 related to jumplists.

I've just checked and found no issue with pinned items in Jumplists :
pinned items are preserved and recently used items are removed.

 

The screenshots show my problem situation:
01 is the config settings
02 shows pinned folders exist before running Privazer
03 shows pinned folders are now gone after running Privazer
Is my config wrong?

Edit: I found that my config was wrong, I have to [check] each app as well as the main heading Jump Lists. Now the Recent are cleaned and the Pinned remain.
I thought that leaving the apps un[Check]ed that things would be left "as is", not everything deleted/removed/unpinned.

 

I'm not sure to understand the workaround.
Can you explain more?
and what is your OS ?

Yes.
Before when the apps were NOT checked, both the pinned and recent were removed.

we are unable to reproduce the issue.

When pinned and recently used entries are both removed from jumplists, are those directories empty ?
%appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\CustomDestinations
%appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations

For testing, save the content of those 2 directories to be able to get your jumplists back.

The issue is the following : scheduled cleanups do not take into account their own jumplists options but use the jumplists options of manual cleanups instead.

The issue will be fixed in the next release.

This PrivaZer software looks interesting. Good support on here and also according to the website free. I do have a question. I currently use a paid product, and while it works well it does install services that are constantly running, which I don't need as I only ever use it on-demand and also if I ever clean install my OS I have to contact support to have my key reset because of limited activations, which can be damn annoying. Thus, I'm thinking of an alternative. Does PrivaZer install any always-running services?

PrivaZer has no always-running service and PrivaZer does not check for updates automatically if you prefer to.
