It doesn't delete content in sandbox. It only deletes (overwrites) free space on disk (space that is not occupied by files - "empty space").
Why? I use both CCleaner and Sandbox and have for years. I do, however, always clear my sandbox upon exit.
In SBIE under applications it (SBIE) appears; which to me implies it will clean SBIE and wipe deleted material. I was hoping that the wipes could be done under secure file deletion in SBIE also. I am not quite sure about this.
I don't know about that setting in CCleaner (I always use SBIE to delete it's content). If you want to use CCleaner then you have to set it's settings: This settings will be used for all CCleaner deletes. Time to delete files could be longer if many passes option is used.
You can use Sandboxie settings to automatically secure delete sandbox with CCleaner. Set CCleaner setting under Secure Deletion (secure file deletion) to your preference. Set Sandboxie Settings delete command to where you have CCleaner.exe installed. e.g. in Sandboxie screenshot:
Thanks a lot. As I am on my wifes 8.1 laptop, I want/need to be extra cautious and appreciate the extra assurances. My Xp tower machine has multiple partitions and I can easily switch to another partition if some thing goes wrong. My wife does not want her laptop to be messed with as it could mean a down time which she says would be a catastrophe, so I have not added extra 8.1 partitions. My thanks to all respondents, as all of them increase my SBIE and Win 8.1 mental data base .
if you delete a sandbox you need a good recovery program. using extra disk wipe is pretty pointless at this moment, window already messed up most of the data.
