This restoring to the Lost and Found folder has been experienced by other users. It seems like a bug they can't properly fix.
Workaround: Set it to "ask before neutralize" and you don't need to restore files. No, their support is really bad.
I am trying their free version and was surprised that it has many features that I want like the process monitor that acts like an outbound firewall as I don't have any firewall installed. (I just have the built-in windows firewall with inbound protection.) It monitors the process if its a threat or not and since they are from cloud based antivirus in the past then there's something really good in this thing. Aside from the fact that Panda scored high in detection in the wild, then this one I could really trust. I thought in the past that Panda antivirus are made by Chinese...coz a Panda is from China. LoL. When I realized that this company is from Spain then it made me decide to install it on my pc. You know that we Filipino didn't like what the communist China are doing in our sea territory and we suspect that they are spying on us so we are very careful of what we install in our pc or else.
This is my first time using this Panda free antivirus, installed it with their online installer but later found out that I could not found the uninstaller in their program. How can I uninstall this safely and totally? How good are this antivirus? Are their Cloud intelligence more better compared to others, coz they're the one who popularized it I think.
I have question. I noticed that my Panda free antivirus is always disabled everytime I start or re-boot my pc and that I have to manually enable it. Why is it this happen, I make sure that I always checked and turn on the Enable Permanent Protection in its settings. Are there any other things that I have to do to so that this thing will always be in the protected mode everytime I start my pc?
Actually, internet connection here in our city are not that stable and are slow. I tried downloading other antiviruses online and offline installer including Lavasoft antivirus but no luck. They always got an error message and couldn't install on my pc. But then when I tried the Panda free online installer it was successfull. So I think, this should be the one. And by chance accidentally saw the comparative antivirus results in Oct. 2015 and Panda got a very high score...so maybe...it is competitive and probably does more things better than others. So I have to try this. Knowing this came from Europe makes me feel confident and safe. LoL!!! My pc is just ok. This is an old desktop pc running still in Windows XP SP 3 Pro.
I've expeerienced yet another recovery of a file from quarantine to Lost and found folder (on a coworker laptop that I was working on) instead of original location. This is beyond idiotic.
It's a known problem but they don't fix it. After all, Panda was able to change the mail address in my user account. It was really easy, I had to create a dozen of entries in their forums and after 5 months it was done. Very nice support Panda, I won't ever buy a licence again.
It seems like since pbust left, Panda sinked into deepest depths of hell as far as support and feedback goes...
Panda Free Antivirus 2016 v16.1.0 released http://www.neowin.net/news/panda-free-antivirus-2016-v1610 No changelog yet.
If they haven't fixed their stupid quarantine thing, I don't think I'll even bother with any future version. Also, that registration crap, it has to go. Why can't companies get it that all this crap is SUPER ANNOYING and people hate it with every fabric of their being?
I don't get it why is it so *** **** hard to release a freaking changelog. It would take someone 5 minutes of work yet make life easier for hundreds of thousands of users.
Yes and no. It is annoying that avast! requires registration and asks user to chose between paid and free version, but you can actually just leave it and it'll re-register FREE version by itself. You can even register it without any email. Where Panda, it'll just bitch about the registration until you actually do it and you have to setup account for real and activate it via e-mail. And even then it didn't work for me.
You can always put in a random email. It does not need to be valid. Also, Panda does not need re-registering after a year.
Yeah, one day I accidently clicked Register without entering e-mail and it just registered it The auto re-registration was confirmed by avast! team member. If you leave it unregistered for a while it just does it by itself. I just don't understand why it doesn't do it automatically for everyone so you don't have to even bother with it. Anyway, this thread is about Panda... Anyone got the changelog for the latest version? I love Panda because it has a really good detection but broken quarantine is such a big no-go I refuse to use it until they fix this crap.
