What shocked me the most was AVG. And avast!. AVG for it's amazing score and avast! for still being just average for some bizarre reason.
Probably an aberration in Artemis. I notice that by default, intrusion detection features are disabled in McAfee products.
Its detection is improving, and with other layers like Sandboxie it would probably be enough. I'm happy with Avira as long as I can get the paid version for a reasonable price. The day I can't get a discount I'll switch to Windows Defender.
A decent result for Tencent (which is now using Bitdefender's scan engine instead of Avira's) with 99% blocked and only one false positive. However I have found that Tenencet does have minor issues with false positives, or at least with the classification of some items. For example WinZip Driver Updater is not a trojan, at worst it could be classified as a PUP.
Starting from 2012 Aug, Trend Micro has consistently been offering top-notch protection. They should only rectify the false positive detections... How is its System Impact now-a-days? Haven't used Trent Titanium after 2012.
It is a little heavy, I can feel that something is slowing down my machine, but it is manageable. Try it on your PC and see how it goes, the protection and the interface is pretty good.
I wonder what the rate of infection would be with a fully up to date system where the user hit cancel on every download prompt.
