    Hi,
I recently purchased a HP Stream 11 Notebook, costing 16000 INR (~243 USD) after 4000 INR (~61 USD) cashback.

Do you suggest me to spend 8200 INR (~125 USD) / 5400 INR (~82 USD) for HP onsite warranty extension for 2 yr / 1 yr, without accidental coverage+battery replacement+power adapter replacement.

Although I prefer to keep the laptop for quite some time, I find the pricing ridiculously high (compared to the price of the laptop). What's your suggestion for me?

Too high for me as well!
I always recommend to purchase a warranty extension (2 yrs.) pack costing no more than 25% of computer price.

    Absolutely not!

    You already have a warranty.

What they are selling you is "insurance". Insurance is something you buy to deal with a requirement in which you cannot afford. This is neither.

Thank you @Mister X & @Rolo42 . Yes, I am almost certain about rejecting their offer.

They are charging even steeper than Apple. In Amazon India, a 2 year extended Apple Care plan for MacBook Air/Pro 13 inch costs 17000 INR (~ 258 USD), and that covers laptops ranging from 60000 INR (~910 USD) to 110000 (~1670 USD), and that includes battery, adapter too, except that is a carry-in warranty.

Moreover its terms state that, "HP Care Pack Services do not cover any damage or failure caused by neglect, improper use, ......, electrical disturbance, Transportation by customer". I am afraid of these clauses. :doubt:
