I have a 37gig hard drive and I have only just noticed that it's not giving me the full size. It says it's only 20gig?! I've just used Partition Magic to increase my partition but it's not letting me have any more than that 20gig.

    Any suggestions?

Ignore this - it's done. Can you delete please.

    Hi r00t,

If it is an older computer, it could be the HD controller is unable to handle newer large drives. Also, check the jumpers on the drive itself. Some have a setting to restrict the size.

Partition Magic 8 should be able to take care of it. Is it an NTFS partition?

Sorry, it's not called Partition Magic, it's 7Tools Partition Manager wich I see is the same? I resized my partition to the full amount but it's not saying that I have any operations pending. IT worked fine on XP Home, and now I'm on XP Pro it don't seem to work.

I'm not familiar with that program, but it sounds like it might be similar.
If the partition is FAT or FAT32, there are limits to its size as shown here
You might try emailing the developer.
