    Well the search list is stored somewhere, most likely the registry.
    At this point I would take a wait and see on the question. Updates will be coming to Win10 and who knows what may change.

    @J_L @ronjor

    actually i did manage to change the default search provider but i can't remove the newly added one from the list. although there's an option for that, it just don't work.
    will delve deep into the registry and see if i can come up with something.

    Edge is still a work in progress as is Win10. Don't break anything. :)

    To add, say Google as a search provider you need to first navigate to google.com, so I wonder if the same is true to remove the search provider?

    @imdb,
    I just successfully removed Google as my search provider. Which search provider is it you are trying to remove?

    Well, it did disappear but I see it is back again. Hmm.

    First issue I've had with W10 updates: Security Update for Internet Explorer Flash Player for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3087040) - Error 0x80004005

    Googled the error and KB, of course; kind of strange that the only results were posts in other languages (e.g., French and German). :confused:

    Thanks for responding. At least we know it's most likely on "their end".

    I have the laptop of my daughter next to me and there it installed automatically and on my laptop I got the error. Very strange and annoying, but solved it for me with the manual download mentioned on tenforums.
    @prius04 glad it also worked for you.

    I guess I should have Looked here first in stead of trying to re install the flash player every 15 minutes, can you see what version of flash player you have in EDGE?

    In Edge, you can go to this site --> https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-issues-windows-10-edge.html and click Test Flash Player. Then, if you right-click on the window immediately below, you should see About Adobe Flash Player followed by the version number (obviously, you need to have Flash enabled in Advance settings in Edge).

    Edit: Of course, ronjor beat me to it! xD

    It's either on or off in Edge. Whatever setting you choose.
