@avatar - Just a suggestion for future versions of 6.0 Alpha/Beta/Final... Under "License", could you add/show the amount of devices the license is installed on? (Example: License is Active Premium, Lifetime license: 2 out of 4 devices active). In previous versions, it always displayed the amount of devices that were activated. Version 6.0 doesn't display this information, could you possibly add it?
I've got a couple of another things. - Check for filter updates takes quite long after tweaking user filter in Filter Editor. To get back to the normal speed of checking of filter updates I have to restart AG. - After AG shut down, Viber for PC peaks CPU. I have to shut down and restart it. It looks like AG hooks up to Viber.
I confirm this bug. It happened today again during auto update of AG aplha (to v6.0.67.364). Immediately after AG was shut down to let it upgrade, Viber peaked CPU to 80%.
here is the changes! http://forum.adguard.com/showthread.php?6873-Adguard-for-Windows-Beta-version-6-0-67-364 I find it rather strange that a BETA program can be loaded through the eternal updater BETA is still being a tested program and all..
Thank you. It looks like they have a check box to enable/disable updates through their Beta channel. So it's good that users have a choice whether to update Beta builds through the updater. Although with their Alpha builds, those do not update from Alpha to Alpha.
Hi everyone! I am Adguard developer and while @avatar is out of office I will be in charge of releases and will keep you updated. As @WildByDesign told you, today we have released the first beta of our upgraded program. Ways to update: - check updates in the program (program shall be activated with a beta license; to check the available updates go to the icon's context menu in the tray and select "About") - download an installer from github, currently it is - https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdguardForWindows/releases/tag/6.0.67.364 - download an installer from our website - http://download.adguard.com/d/2/adguardInstallerBeta.exe For details please visit this thread on our Forum: http://forum.adguard.com/showthread.php?6873-Adguard-for-Windows-Beta-version-6-0-67-364
Where is the setting for now GUI or Logo showing at start up?(Version 6) cant locate it anywheres thank you
AG should start up after boot up automatically and you can reach its GUI via the systray icon, if I understand you correctly.
Just something I noticed on the current 5.10 version: I have a lifetime license for 2 computers and 2 mobile devices. The Windows software shows: The software is in use on 3 devices in total: 1x PC 1x Laptop 1x Smartphone To me, it looks like the message says I use to much devices. ---- Just installed the latest beta too. Let's see how that rolls.
No I am referring to the BIG letter A that pops up followed by the GUI..I run mine manually not at start up no setting anywhere
@hayc59 In particular, this is what the Adguard utilizes in registry for startup: Code: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adguard\Adguard.exe /nosplash
WildbyDesign...a little more help on how to change that setting please..running windows xp pro where do I add this 'nosplash' sensation?
Go to regedit, navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run You should see there entry Adguard with data: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adguard\Adguard.exe /nosplash" if you don't have this "/nosplash" there just double click adguard and add "/nosplash" at the of the of text "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adguard\Adguard.exe". Or maybe you see only text C:\Program Files\.... without (x86) if running 32 bit OS but it doesn't matter, still the same thing. // And btw, which beta version are you running? What is the version number when you right click adguard tray icon and click "about"? With earlier alpha versions it opened GUI automatically when you started your system but not with newest versions..
ok i have nothing there about Adguard at all...so it looks like adding a new string?? have not done that in many moons
