    Hello @boredog:

Thank you for the heads-up! :)

Uploading a false positive (FP) candidate copy to VirusTotal.com, and including the URL from the evaluation report to Malwarebytes will likely speed the re-evaluation process and any subsequent database update.

You will at least need to register at Create Account and upload a zipped copy of the FP file to: False Positives - File Detections.

A big hat tip goes out to @wshurgged too! :thumb:

    Thank you.

Here is my official frustration with malwarebytes antimalware. I have installed it in my parents computer awhile ago and after one of those updates it turns on every hour for a quick scan. Their computer is old and it freezes the computer and makes it difficult to turn off. It became more of a malware than anti-malware at this point

I think there's an option to run a quick scan everytime the database is updated.
    Just turn it off.
That option is probably within the update task itself. (in the scheduler)

    Hello mattdocs12345:

All MBAM2's scheduled scans may be managed through MBAM's Automated Scheduling.

Perhaps a Threat Scan could be scheduled for a more opportune time.

MBAM 2.1.8 still doesn't update when using the context menu scan, even though the GUI says it does. Tried it on mutiple machines, happens all the time. Even when MBAM itself gives a yellow pop-up about being out of date, it still doesn't update.

Since my question on the MBAM forums has been ignored I will ask here.

Since upgrading my two machines to Win10 I am no longer getting update notifications. Do these notifications work in Win10?

So far it taken one week to get an answer from Malwarebtyes Anti-malware support! Still waiting on a reply to my reply.
Starting to remind me of Bitdefender support. Also, Malwarebtyes Anti-malware support is trying to change my Lic.
    key agreement to 1 year!

    Not happy!

I replied to your question, but that is a NEWS section and often does not get direct replies in NEWS. I'll have QA check on it but please do as I asked and create your own new topic in the support section.

    Thanks

Not sure who you are but it sounds like they are in contact with you if you know they're changing your key. We are very busy and have even hired some part time help to deal with the overload. If you post on the forum and send me a PM with all your information and issue as well as the email account used on the help desk I'll see what I can do to get more information or resolution for you.

    Thank you

Not sure if Marcin will see this post or not but at this time I'm not aware of any plans to make a FREE bootable portable version. Any product booting does not have the full story of an infection and has to attempt a brute force clean up method. The Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10 is a great product but has many false positives and cannot cleanup all as it has the same issues. The malware threat field has changed quite a bit and our current tools seem to be handling without the need for a portable tool.

Thank you for your interest though.

Topic: Lic., Key will not activate for Malwarebtyes Anti-Malware,2.1.8

Topic: Lic., Key will not activate for Malwarebtyes Anti-Malware,2.1.8

Uninstall for Windows 10 upgrade and now trying to put Malwarebtyes Anti-Malware 2.1.8 back on my PC's!
Can you please! Reset my Lic.,Key for Malwarebtyes Anti-Malware 2.1.8 Lifetime Lic.key.

    Hi Michael

    Thank you for contacting us.

I show that this license key is for 1 PC, but has been activated on 6 PCs. I can reset the key, but it will deactivate on all 6 PCs (when they are upgraded to MBAM 2.1.8 or higher). Or I can provide you with a free 1 year license for the 6 PCs. Which would you prefer?

Please let me know if I can help with anything else.

    Paul
The above is not correct! Life Time Lic., Key for 3 PC's.

    2nd E-mail

    Hi Paul McClellan!

    > I only have 3 PC's not 6 PC's!
    > Is the lic.,key a lifetime key? For 1 PC? Correct?
    > If not go a head and provide me with a free 1 year license.
    > Also, will they work with MBAM 2.1.8 or higher? In which, I need for them to work.

    Kind regards,

3 E-mails and going on the 10 days!

My point is that it taking forever! And I have on 3 PC's that I would to Lifetime Lic.,key on.
It is becoming a headache! 3 E-mails and going on the 10 days! Again not happy!

Did clean install of 2.2.0.1020 beta. Would not accept my lifetime key indicating it had been activated too may times. Fortunately have another key. No initial problems noted with new beta.
