I can't activate bitdefender and avira. It says not found in settings and is disabled for realtime and manual scan. How can I fix this? Updatering program does not help.
That's odd...bad install perhaps. I would redownload 360 and download the separate signature installs, uninstall 360, reboot, reinstall.
Not much sense in hiding this, so..... Dear Dragan, Thank you very much. We have read the forum about the Avira database, but we can't send screenshot to that user. So please invite you to help us to let the user download the latest version of Avira database from the below link:http://free.360totalsecurity.com/vdb/360TS_VDB_Avira_20150730.exe Here are some screenshots to verify: https://col128.afx.ms/att/GetInline.aspx?messageid=e8180d1d-3695-11e5-9cc8-001e0bca7e02&attindex=0&cp=-1&attdepth=0&imgsrc=cid%3aafaa0771-1aed-4b31-a650-142005c67c12&cid=ade255c002f43515&hm__login=djgakungak&hm__domain=live.com&ip=10.48.40.8&d=d2566&mf=4&hm__ts=Thu%2c%2030%20Jul%202015%2018%3a05%3a50%20GMT&st=djgakungak%25live.com%407&hm__ha=01_c4616493c8e0fc9009e7734e3481d171fd1ed0b2b8fa19ca38abccbd4b663fec&oneredir=1 This is the VDF date contrast between 360TS_VDB_Avira_20150729.exe and 360TS_VDB_Avira_20150730.exe. https://col128.afx.ms/att/GetInline.aspx?messageid=e8180d1d-3695-11e5-9cc8-001e0bca7e02&attindex=1&cp=-1&attdepth=1&imgsrc=cid%3a34e45eae-2624-4867-91c1-8c3f6d38912f&cid=ade255c002f43515&hm__login=djgakungak&hm__domain=live.com&ip=10.48.40.8&d=d2566&mf=4&hm__ts=Thu%2c%2030%20Jul%202015%2018%3a05%3a50%20GMT&st=djgakungak%25live.com%407&hm__ha=01_f67c34ef3d4f894659a663bb87a6f399c647964334f585450f847b3b2692eb92&oneredir=1 Kind regards, Emily Qihoo 360 Support Team Email: support@360safe.com FAQ: http://www.360totalsecurity.com/help/ • Welcome to visit our website: PC: http://www.360totalsecurity.com/ Mobile Product: http://www.360safe.com/ • Like us on Facebook: • http://www.facebook.com/360safe • Google+: https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/109743774012923710723 • Follow us on Twitter: https://twitter.com/360TotalSec • Leave your comment for us on CNET to encourage us to keep improving. http://download.cnet.com/360-Total-Security/3000-2239_4-76145154.html
Both links don't work, "Bad Request" (HTTP 400) for both Chrome and Edge. Regardless of what the installation files look like, the result of those installation files is that we have the same 4 June 15 Avira signatures installed!
I just downloaded the manual updater from the above link and unpacked the exe file with 7-zip That is whats inside the vbase031.vdf file: Code: Virus Database File Version: 7.11.250.228 FUP: 1 License date: 28.7.2015 VDF date: 28.7.2015 Minimum engine: 7.9.4.32 Signatures: 8348453 Required linked VDF: 7.11.250.200 Source: 7.11.250.228 Compiler: 1.5.0.4
Yum...egg! I didn't update with that file but I did, yesterday, uninstall 360TS and installed 360TSE (since TSE was updated to 7.2) and haven't touched it since. I got 28 Jul sigs too: Code: Virus Database File Version: 7.11.250.228 FUP: 1 License date: 28.7.2015 VDF date: 28.7.2015 Minimum engine: 7.9.4.32 Signatures: 8348453 Required linked VDF: 7.11.250.200 Source: 7.11.250.228 Compiler: 1.5.0.4 Is anyone else still having outdated signatures?
Did you guys INSTALL that file after you downloaded it, then made verification? Because weekend is coming, and if we're to do this right, we gotta do it "by the book"
Mine updated today to July 28 as well. Now, I'm curious to see when we will get the new definitions. I 'd bet on September
Changelog: v7.2.0.1040 (2015-07-31): Fixed: Bug fixes DOWNLOAD: =========== Installer (37.48 MB) - http://int.down.360safe.com/totalsecurity/360TS_Setup_7.2.0.1040.exe
Three days ago I took a blank harddisk and installed WIN7-64-pro. Loaded all updates and installed latest TSE. Avira definition are still stuck on 28.July, while Bitdefender definitions are from today, although several versions behind: Bitdefender actual definitions I guess that is what it is and always will be... I guess this is not a technical issue, but Avira licence related. I wonder if this does and will effect TSE to protect from Malware, as it mainly relies on cloud.
I have updated to v7.2.0.1040 but also after reboot if I check for updates TS still says "Found a new version 7.2.0.1040"....
How good is the sandbox in x64? I am testing TS and so far I am liking it, balanced mode seems the ideal config if one is always online.
I'm on .1012 version and it doesn't detect new .1040 update.. Also the BD engine is still now updating.. Whats the latest def offline link?
Are you using Total Security or Total Security Essentials? If it is Essentials the release version is .1012
I noticed that Total Security .1040 doesnt scan Chrome 64 bits downloads (extension installed), has anyone experienced this?
Please verify you have: Settings>Active Protection>Internet>Download Protection, all three checkboxes checked.
Only "notify me when downloaded file is unknown" is active, so it is normal that I dont get a warning right? But the problem is the log files, when I download some file with Firefox it shows in log, but not when I use Chrome.
You need to use the option "Download Chrome for another platform" and choose the 64 bits version: https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/browser/desktop/ Thanks for you help, much appreciated
I just switched from 32- to 64-bit Chrome and the extension doesn't work: downloads aren't scanned and shopping mode never activates where it did prior to switching to 64-bit. I also uninstalled/reinstalled the 360 extension. It looks like the extension isn't compatible with Chrome 64-bit. Edit: I was mistaken, bank/shopping mode does work with Chrome-x64 (I had the notify option off...oops).
In my machine the shopping mode activates normally, but it doesnt scan downloads. (Total Security) thanks for your feedback
