You got the date from the VDF31 file and not the GUI, right? My GUI is always within a day of the current date.

Do you guys not have any trouble with this?
I have had to remove this from quite a few PCs due to network and browsing issues.
And even the uninstaller doesn't remove it properly. I have had to manually remove stuff.

@Hadron I've never experienced the issues you have. Once I had issue where I was unable to installed the BD and Avira engines. I had installed it previously and removed it, so I guess that was the cause of the issues. I switched to a different antivirus rather than trying to find a solution.

But, that was only issue I can think of. Other than the case I've mentioned, I've never noticed any issues arising from uninstalling it.

I've had no problems with browsing or with network shares. My install/uninstall trace (with SoftOrganizer) showed it was a thorough uninstall (almost got everything...only a few empty directory remnants typical of any software).

Probably the wrong forum for this question but when I run 360 Total Security I get the following message:

    WiFi Security Check
    Router Not Supported

My router is a Actiontec Q1000, can this be added?

It ain't the wrong forum, brother. I'll look into it and let you know the updates.
Basically the protection you get is if the router admin password is crackable enough [and if the default was changed]. So, do with it as you will.

Please describe exact problems you were having.
TS should not interfere with anything network, unless there were some stuff on the network that were suspicious or were threats.
Shouldn't interfere with browsing as well, except to add extensions for web/phisshing/banking protection.

I've been meaning to do this for a while, for those new into this program.
I AM NOT the author of the program and well done award for that person who did it.

This should be helpful to someone.

It seem 360 TS hides and will not remove certain traces of itself during uninstall. Just like a malware. When I uninstalled the 360 a while ago and used cleaners and manually searched for all remnant and traces and even registry cleaning, there was nothing left, or I thought so. The 2 days ago. I tried installing kaspersky IS trial and its incompatibility software search found 360TS and asked to be removed? I was shocked. So I said ok and it removed it. I came to this conclusion that 360TS hides some part of it so it can never be removed from the system and this is just like a malware. Therefore I will not install anything qihoo again.

For those who want to test this, install 360ts and then uninstall and clean your machine and use kaspersky trial installer and see if it picks ups anything as it did in mine.

Not to sound like a fan boy but how is it like "malware"? Many programs leave a lot of traces around after uninstall. Were the traces that left behind connected to the internet? Did they seem to spawn a daughter process and plant itself in a system32 folder? Malware performs a malicious action typically. A weak uninstall leaves traces everywhere. Not really malware though.

I say this because it was hidden. because Is searched the entire windows and could not find anything and that also it seemed it was in a hidden autostart module?? Anyway only malwares and adware hide portions from all removals. I said it was like a malware and not a malware. Also since qihoo parts sometimes are picked up by other AVs as malwares (false flag maybe?)

Why would a legit software try to hide parts or traces from being removed or make it hard to find or uninstalled by the user? usually removal should remove and atleast traces left should be visible and not hidden ( even full windows search did not show anything and only kaspersky detected it.).

It shouldn't hide anything. Where was it hiding exactly? What autostart was found?

well after using iobti to uninstalled and cleaned with ccleaner and glarysoft. I went through all the windows locations and removed any traces and also edited registery and removed anything related. Used windows search to find anything remain and used bee doctor and at the end it should have been nothing left. But a few days later I was shocked that kaspersky compatibity test finds 360 total security in a auto-start folder? To bad forgot to take snap of it for show. Anyway when i saw the path, I went to the location as kespersky said and nothing was there. SO whatever kaspersky found was hidden.

With that logic, Microsoft Office is the biggest malware ever! Remnants aren't uncommon; that's why tracers/uninstallers exist. 360 is pretty good about removing itself (almost 100% before reboot).
This is a common issue with any AV, including Norton, Avast!, et. al. Of course, they have separate removal (uninstaller) tools; perhaps Qihoo should release one.
Your conclusion is faulty--unless you're prepared to call pretty much other AV software "just like malware". Bias typically leads to false conclusions.

If you want to confirm what you suspect Qihoo is doing, use a pre- and post-installation tracer/monitor/scanner, like SoftOrganizer, and don't stop tracing until you have your product fully configured and updated to catch all possible changes.

Well there might be other softwares that hide parts from being removed but this is not right. It should not hide itself or parts of it from removal by the user or admin. When you use a softwares uninstaller or one that should remove all traces, then everything should be removed and nothing kept hidden away.

For me any software that hides from user or admin and also those that who knows what they do in the background is a NO-NO. Now you guys may feel its ok to have hidden and traces left on your system, but for me, is a BIG NO. When I remove or uninstall something and if legit then ALL OF IT SHOULD BE REMOVED. Also its traces should be easy to find and remove and not to hide it from the user and admin.

Have TS on VMWare Win7 64bit, admin account, no other sec software installed.
    Scenario:
Uninstalled TS the regular way. Installed Kaspersky, no prompt for incompatibilities. Removed Kaspersky. Installed Avast Premier. No incompatibilities detected. Removed Avast Premier. Installed Trend Micro. No incompatibilities detected. Removed. Installed AVG Internet Security. No incompatibilities detected. Installed Comodo Internet Security. No incompatibilities detected [although I am almost certain they don't have that check].

So, either you had some backgroung hips/bb/service which [silently, intentionally] blocked removal of Qihoo files, or you tried to remove it in non-traditional way.
Either way, there is nothing sinister going on here.

THE ONLY thing it keeps around is the quarantine, so when you get back to Qihoo, anything quarantined WILL still be there, ready for restoration if necessary.
Still, I have quarantined stuff and Kaspersky did not, nor any other software found anything that would disrupt it's normal operation.

If you're still willing, I'm open to investigation to see the cause of an issue you've experienced. For that, i might need details of your system, background processes, any security software and policies you have in place, admin or standard account, etc....

    Hi,
A question about V7 : is it as fast/light as V6. I have a very sloooooow Lenovo and will switch to 360 after my Webroot license has expired...
    Thanks.

If speed is your concern, then perhaps you should consider using Total Security Essentials. Or rather, if you want to speed up the machine, use Balanced mode and in SpeedUp disable anything that is not critical for normal operations [Like Skype, viber, etc, you can turn it on on demand], and see for yourself what you think is best.

My recommendation: Run Total, do a speedup, disable everything it tells you to, manually fine tune what you really need, profit!

thanks for testing. I used iobit uninstaller for uninstalling and after reboot used manual and other softwares for cleaning traces. Although the strange thing is if the part as you said were perhaps blocked by other security, then why would it a search on windows not find it and only kaspersky warned about it? very strange. Maybe in a future time I will try to repeat what happened and this time will take a snapshot of it.

That's the reason, why there where leftovers.

Seriously: never use uninstallers, without urgent reason !

@Hiltihome Why do you suggest not to use uninstallers. Your statement that there were leftovers because IObit was used doesn't really make sense, as the software's original uninstaller is run before the scanning for leftovers.
