Sadly Windows 10 keeps changing under the hood so even this Trend release doesn't work particularly well with the latest build.

The past 24th of June was the last day to be sumitted the last beta test script for testers, so I assume the final version is around the corner.

Lots of false positives in AV-Comparatives Real World Protection Test March to June.

In February of this year, Trend was awarded Best Protection Award by "AV-Test" for 2014. Guess it depends on who you like or believe. I imagine it will be ready for Windows 10. It's a competitive business....I am anxious to see the first AV testing results when W10 is out!

Personally I didnt experience false positives with Trend Micro, very quiet and unobtrusive.

System performance is a lot better in the latest build and they fixed the bug some users reported (constant cpu usage after detection).

Me too, I am anxious to see the performance of the 2016 version, seems to have improved a lot.

Trend 2015 is still full of bugs ...

if you try to download this AMTSO PUA test http://www.amtso.org/check-desktop-pua you will get a terrible surprise.

Trend will detect the file over and over again burning the cpu and in the end you can actually run the file without it being locked by TM.

Marketing strategies, even the AV redirects to the Max version. Grab your favorite v.2016 here http://downloadcenter.trendmicro.com/

Honestly, I see no real difference between this and the previous version. The appearance, the performance, all about the same. That's not a bad thing though.

So far haven't noticed a major difference. It seems stable, low impact, etc.

I have upgraded one of my Windows 8.1 computers from Antivirus+ 2015 to Antivirus+ 10 (2016). The user interface is virtually unchanged. As always with Trend Micro, I don't notice any impact on computer performance. I especially appreciate that most updates take no more than a few seconds.

The Trend Micro download page gives you a choice of three installers: 32-bit, 64-bit and generic (which probably figures out for you whether you need 32 or 64 bits). I downloaded the 64-bit installer.

I uninstalled the 2015 version before installing the 2016 version. I had to reboot the computer after uninstalling the old version, but I did not have to reboot after installing the new version. During installation, I was prompted for the serial number, which I was able to copy and paste from my online Trend Micro Account. The new version then immediately picked up the old subscription where it had left off.

I initiated a manual update immediately after installation, but no update was needed.

Really wish that I could continue using Trend, as I have a long subscription time left for it. However with how slow it makes my laptop, even freezing task manager whenever it's open, I have had to un-install it. This persisted even after cleanly installing Windows.
