Hi, I'm just curious about this, if Ad-Aware SE iz supposed to be the 'big daddy' now, then why are reference file updated still bein' issued/released for the rather old, wen compared to SE, Ad-Aware 6 Built 181?? iz it possibly because not enough people have moved from Ad-Aware 6, to SE, or people who are not ready to try-out SE, an' wanna keep Ad-Aware 6 (for the moment), want to make sure it's still supportedo_O

Pleaze get back to me.... :) thanks

    regards,
    LJM

I do not know the date they will stop offering Ad-Aware 6 updates....which may have already happened....but they no longer have a Help Forum for that version. Only Ad-Aware SE Forums.

Maybe they were smart enough to make the same signatures work for both versions?

Yeah, that could be it Devinco, but I still don't understand why Lavasoft would continue wiv releasin' updaes for Ad-Aware 6, wen Ad-Aware iz supposed to be the sucessor and superior overall....

    regards,

Because some people are too laaaaazzzzyyy to upgrade. :D

I sometimes fall into that category. But it is usually because I am waiting to see what problems others have. You know learn without the burn. :)

Beta anything I would see what others say first.
Definitions/signatures are usually not beta and are most of the time fine.
I was referring to major program updates such as the new Adaware SE.
It is a very nice program and well worth upgrading to.
