Do you use opera add-on now? Then add these rules: Code: mobilmania.cz#%#window.gapi={ plusone: { go: function(){}, render: function(){} }}; @@||driveplayer^$jsinject JS rules are hardcoded into opera add-on. These rules will be updated with next add-on update.
Hi, I am using Adguard 5.10 and facing some problems. For instance, I cannot stream movie on "Nowvideo" or "Novamov" or sites like those. If I disable adguard then I can stream movie/video on these sites. Do anyone have a work around about this?
How effective is malware/phishing protection in browser Chrome extension of AdGuard? They use their own mal/phish databases? How does their mal/phish protection compares with the likes of addons like Bitdefender TrafficLight, etc...? If its good then I will uninstall BDTL & use AdGuard for ads/mal/phish protection. No need of 2 addons for mal/phish.
That's how it works: http://adguard.com/en/how-malware-blocked.html What about effectiveness, it's hard to say - we've never compared it with trafficlight.
We'll check it, thank you! If you have more websites with broken streaming please tell me the addresses so we can fix it.
Are there any security implications in having HTTPS traffic filtered? Can Adguard snoop on banking transactions etc?
I have read contradicting statement about AdGuard extension in forums. Some say it only hides the ads & no bandwidth save & some say it removes the ads & saves the bandwidth. Whats the fact?
Currently the only thing you miss is certificate online revocation check. But we have already added it in the current beta version, will be released this week. Yes, it can, as well as any browser extension or the browser itself Of course we don't do this, but anyway you should know what is filtered. One more important notice. There is special SSL exclusions list (in AG network settings), that you can edit by yourself. Websites in that list are not filtered by AG at all. Lots of huge banks and payment systems are there by default (like paypal, hsbc, etc). If your bank is not in that list yet, please send me a message.
The real difference is that desktop AG can modify page code before browser receives it, and browser extension (not AG only, but any browser extension, like adblock or ublock) cannot do it. That does not mean hiding vs blocking, all of them do block ad requests. More details on how ad blocking works: http://adguard.com/en/how-ads-blocked.html
So you mean all the extentions works same & AdGuard is no lesser than other extensions like ABP or uB? Malware/Phishing Databases is your own? And 1 or 2 filter lists are the same as ABP & uB but you customize it too, right? Any specific customization?
Exactly. Yes, but it is partially compiled from some trusted public sources like phishtank, etc. Some filters are our own, some filters are forks of EasyList (like our English filter - it is a fork of EasyList). More info about our filters here: http://adguard.com/en/filters.html Also with AG you can use other popular filters. The main difference here is that we support our own filters and we may edit/fix problems with it fast. Third-party filters are supported by their owners.
Thanks for the detailed response - much appreciated. One more question: does Adguard handle HTTP/1.1/gzip connections?
Tell that to the dev! People have been asking for this since at least 2005. Anyway, I'm bringing this thread off-topic. Thanks again for the info
Can't reproduce this. Which filters do you use? Btw, for me the map is broken by "Stealth Mode" extension.
I disabled all filters (inclusive user filter) one by one but to no avail. I don't have stealth mode extension. So I don't have a clue what can be causing it, strange. BTW, just updated to 5.10.2032.6346. Isn't this build the one you meant?
