Emsisoft Antimalware has already upgraded to v10 in my machine, so far so good.

Thank you and congratulations on this release :thumb:

Edit: Malware scan (with cache) takes just 25 seconds to complete in my machine, amazing improvement.

Just a quick heads up: As usual we reset all trial licenses. So if you want to try out the new versions, you can :). Trials that are already active were extended to the full 30 days.

Fabian wasn't kidding about the improvement in the new malware scan over the old smart scan. My last smart scan took 30 min.. The new malware scan took 4 mins.! Faster than a MBAM scan.

I did notice an issue with behavior blocker. My previous BB whitelisted apps(some - non-system ones) are now being monitored by BB. Apps still identified in the whitelisting section, so that is not the issue.

Bootup is indeed a bit smoother on most systems due to the changes we introduced to the update logic. In the past we just always delayed the first update by a minute. Now we monitor system load and wait until the system is idle (less than 20% average CPU usage over a 10 second time window) up to a maximum of 5 minutes. On fast systems it means we update quite a bit earlier. On slow systems we avoid performing an update, which is quite resource intensive, during boot, slowing down the boot process even more.

I gave this try, and returned to my old reliable firewall.
Problem: can not see what is blocked, if I try to tighten things up I lose connection. Nothing to tell me whats being blocked or allowed in real time.
Would be nice to show what is being allowed or blocked (real time).
Also having an "allow once" or "block once" would be a nice addition.
EAM is a different story (very good)

Today EAM upgraded from 9 to 10. It's running smoothly and malware scans are fast! Thanks Emsisoft for such a good program.

    Indeed.

Faster and efficient scanning is one improvement a lot more AV vendors should focus on.

Some great features and fixes in this build.

Particularly like the Behaviour Blocker right-click on item information :thumb:

Guys let's focus on the 'original topic subject' please. ;)

EAM 10 Installed on main work machine today, no grumbles whatsoever.
Loving the reputation info now shown for processes monitored by behaviour blocker, very nice touch :thumb:

Didn't see any improvement in this area on first cold boot this morning where I have always had issues with EAM updating. I also have simultaneous connections set to only 1. In fact as referenced, the update actually started a bit sooner than in ver. 9.

This initial EAM update has always been an issue on my PC since I first installed EAM 2 years ago. I have a 6 core CPU, 8 GB of fast DDR ram, and tons of free HDD space. Perhaps it is the way EAM handles multi-core CPUs; just don't know. I was hoping to see a user configurable option in this area to delay updating after boot but no luck in this release I guess.
