Unfortunately how do you know. On that basis should we still allow posts from the AX64 crowd. Bottom line is if they obey the forum rules they are okay. Should the people still hoping for AX64 to fly be denied access to them.

I for one don't think the AX64 product has much more of a chance then a flying frog, but I wouldn't chose to deny them access to the folks here. Heck I hope I am wrong.

Well, today is the 2 week max mark and no announcement yet. But the good news is that AX64 may still have a chance, according to Pete:
Here is a photo of...the Wallace Flying Frog! (Distant cousin of the prince of all frogs residing here in our forum.)

    There are two possibilities.

    1. Incompetence of the management of this team, the former RealCopy team, forced the main dev to go.
    2. AX64 was sold by isso to RealCopy, as if a startup sold to a big tech. The owner of the startup cashes out and left the dev team voluntarily, changed his ID and starts(ed) a new startup for the next deal.

Wow! You may be older than I suspected since I haven't heard/read that line since the last time I ever watched the Three Stooges, which I have no idea how long ago that may have been. I actually do drop that line myself occasionally since I grew up during those days! Of course, being that old and PC illiterate is why I joined Wilders. I'm not totally clueless of course, as I built this machine, although that is kind of mechanical, which I'm somewhat versed in!

Candidly, I don't think that it's we don't care, I think it's they know we can figure out the truth.

Let me make one thing clear. The program IS being worked on right now. I am in the process of testing a private build which is not ready for public use since its slowing down my PC even when not backing up the PC, etc.

LOL. You don't get it. Few people really cares anymore. Macrium Reflect v6 just came out with rapid restore capacity, which is the whole point of AX64 as a product, plus the reputation of MR's brand name. After such a long time AX64 is still in its infancy. I can say that it had its chances, but probably not now.

Yeah, I tested that private build. 1st hot restore failed right out of the box. I have to agree with oliverjia, with Macrium v6, the nails are being hammered in...

I both agree and disagree with the above,,,,,,,for the more tech savvy (ie users here on Wilders) the program may as well be dead. For less tech savvy users generally AX64/TM may well have a place on their PCs. There is no doubt about it, if AX64/TM stays true to its simple to use philosophy then there will be a market for it. MR v6 may not be very complicated to use/set up but it is not dead simple, AX64 certainly was. Of course there are issues that need to be overcome and if they are not then AX is probably toast but if the problems can be overcome then there is no reason it should not find a viable market.
