The product under this title has reached "end of life" status, and has been replaced with TSE.
That means IS will not receive program updates, bug fixes, optimizations, etc....

Nor it should/will not receive official support in resolving possible issues/conflicts, nor it will use updated code, so adequate protection cannot be guaranteed at this point.
It will/should continue to have a stable link with cloud and receive BD updates.

A recommendation is a clean uninstall [check that quarantine!!!], and installing TSE.

I have found that if you do not have at least 4GB of memory some of the engines are not available for ones use. I however am still liking this one.

    Always,

@anon You can still download it from the 360 website, as well as a number of download sites.

@anon I know it's not supported anymore, but you can still download it, and some people may find the link useful.

Lol, that's it? They had another AV engine enabled and that's cheating? Maybe they just tried what the results will be. Anyway, I don't care and will continue using 360 TSE.

given that all these anti virus testers always test using the program in it's default settings then yes it is cheating. Is is pretty much admitting that it's own QVM engine is responsible for a lot of false positives whilst the Bitdefender engine does most of the real detecting.

Whatever. Not a big deal to me. Expected something much worse.

Despite the fact that all their awards have been rescinded they are still showing them on their website. You may not think it's a big deal but for a lot of us it makes you wonder why they felt the need to cheat and what else it means they are hiding.

    Actually no...

As you can see, their inhouse engine is more than capable in detecting stuff. False positives DO exist [show me an antivirus product that does not!] and it might be a problem for an ordinary user.
Not defending recent actions of the company, but facts are the facts!

    False positives reduction.
But they cheated [and so did others], and cheating is cheating. But, to some, there are acceptable cheating and not acceptable cheating.

Sorry to see you go, but may the alternative provide you with what Qihoo could not...

Speaking of false positives one of the worst companies I have ever seen for false positives is Kaspersky. I am a gamer and years ago I use to use Kaspersky and I had to send them many game files, because they were wrongly detecting most games as viruses.

Basically everyone will have false positive, depending on what we perceive as false positive.
Game trainers, patchers and keygens might be safe for one, and malicious for the other.
A point of view, a perspective....

I was downloading games legally. It was gamehouse.com or realarcade.com doesn't much matter they are the same company. If you are a gamer it is definitely a gamesite to check out. All my games I have are legal. I own over 500 of them.

That image proves nothing and looks more like it is testing system performance and not detection rates. Yes all engines have false positives but it is the amount that is the issue. I will never use Avast due to the amount of times over the years they have released damaged signatures that have resulted in thousands of FPs. Last I checked they had over 120 in AV-Comparatives test for FPs. Same applies to Qihoo which, whilst not as bad as Avast, has had a lot of FP on my system. facts are facts and what you posted is not facts.

Cheating to get better scores in an anti virus test is not acceptable cheating. The facts are that it is the Bitdefender engine that got the awards and not Qihoo's own products.

What you don't understand is it is all the same whichever engine it is. Avira's engine seems to detect stuff on my computer most of the time. I have to stay away from iwin.

"Cheating to get better scores in an anti virus test is not acceptable cheating."

Yes, but they are also hurting their own program by doing that. By disabling their own engine they hurt themselves because their own engine could detect stuff. Let's talk about one F-Secure. That antivirus I think uses the kaspersky and f-prot engine. I don't even think they have their own and it's not freeware. No one is badmouthing them. Why not their program relies on other engines?

Edited: I read online now F-Fecure uses the Bitdefender engine as well as some other engines. I don't see no one badmouthing them. It's not fair to badmouth Qihoo when other companies rely on other engines too.
