Heh, since when did stating opinions became complaining ? The offer you presented belongs to EAM not the IS package, doesn't send to where I reside, for 3 PCs which I don't need (and still more expensive than the alternatives around).
Btw vendor sites not having the prices I mention doesn't mean they did not have those at the time (i.e. that Webroot deal for 10$ was from their official site during a promotion if I remember correctly)

Don't get me wrong I really like your software both EAM/IS and the late OA. And money is not a problem. However I don't feel like buying things with "relatively" high prices, I have two months remaining for one of my boxes I will watch around for deals during that period.

Since I think I'm kinda derailing the thread I don't want to stretch this further, thanks for answering/directing my questions so far.

We do have those as well. About once or twice a year or so. For example:

    Looks like you missed them.

    I have a question . . .
    1. If i merge my licenses into EIS, will i get a bonus license extension or will it end at the same date?
    2. I have renewed my licenses. As you know, Emsisoft offers discounts based on renewals but if i merge my license i am afraid i will lose those discounts and will have to start over. So my question is, will i keep the discounts in my new license?

    Good question.

    I'd like to know that.

    And i have another question.

If i upgrade one EAM license to an EIS, i will lose the renewal bonus or not?

Not sure what you mean by bonus extension. The license period left on your old license is always added to any new product license period. If the new product has a lower general sales price, you get a longer period of time accordingly. In short: You never lose anything by switching products.

When merging or switching, we'll set the start date of the new license back to the same date when the other product has started, so you will still be eligible for the loyalty discount %. Up to -60% when you stay for more than 6 years and buy 3 years in advance.

    Thank you for your answer.

And upgrading EAM to EIS i will lose the loyalty discount?

    PS:
I uninstalled EAM+OA in 2 PCs and i'm testing now EIS.
    So far i'm enjoying it.

I found it very difficult to convert to the free version in this program. It might do it after the 30 day trial, but what if you don't want a 30 day trial? What if you only want to use the on-demand scanner? I waited for the scan to complete which found some pups, but I cannot delete a couple of them. One was iwin, bestbuy app, trymedia, gamebar, bingbar.

Iwin I play games on which I own a few. Trymedia is from Gamehouse which I play games on. Bestbuy application was preinstalled on this computer so was Bingbar. The risk level was no risk.

I had to uninstall because I want the on-demand only and not the 30 day trial. I use Norton on this computer which I get free from my isp. I use it because it is a all-in-one. So do you have to do the 30 day trial before it convert to the free version? Thank you.

Thank you, I just was hoping there was a way to go around that like there was. Wasn't their old program called A-squared? I used A-Squared free. I really liked it.

    Yes, Emsisoft Anti-Malware is a successor of a-squared Anti-Malware.

The improvement in scan times is really noticeable in new beta.

No you won't because it's based on the total license period and EIS would start the same date as EAM after upgrading.

I have tried twice in the last half an hour to update EIS...However, there seems to be a problem.

Does Emsisoft have any plan of changing to another cdn service (which is still available in China) or set up update servers in China?

That is why I prefer to have my EIS, manually update. I had last checked for updates, yesterday and it was fine...However, since then it has struck some problem...See Fabian Wosar's reply to me above.

I installed EAM so I could try the beta version but couldn't update, so uninstalled it. I thought the update issue was just with my computer, but it isn't, so when it's resolved I'll install EAM again.

I noticed something about Emsisoft Antimalware. I installed it the other night trying to run the on demand only. I uninstalled it, but Windows is reporting it is still on the computer but off. But there is no uninstall for it. Why is it reporting it is still on the computer when it's not?
