If someone was outside your house with a packet sniffer could they sniff data going wirelessly from your pc to your WPA PSK router ? If so would a https site prevent this?
Not if you have WPA2 encryption and they don't know your password. Sniffing from the ISP or internet side of things are different though.
Unless you're using an outdated browser, drive-by installs are very rare and the downloads have to be manually executed.
Actually there are means to break into your Wi-Fi and perform an ARP cache poisonig attack, then strip off your SSL connection.
Performing ARP spoofing w/out firstly intrude the network is not easy. Also I don't think it's easy to intrude properly secured wifi network, which employ WPA2(AES) with 63 char random password, unless there's serious vuln in router or AP.
