I've just ditched this to excessive false positives. Because I'm the trusting type, I am not going to say they are deliberate false positives but that they are due to over sensitive heuristics.

+1 interested in that... First time to see offer to rebrand the whole product...

But I think no matter how they skin the UI, the layout would remain the same.

Yes copy and paste, that's what I did :p
Or use VirtualBox although the guest OS runs slower than VMWare on all my machines.

    Hi guys.

I’m one of Zillya! technology heads. I have read this thread carefully and see there is situation as everywhere. Somebody like it, somebody no. Somebody touch trouble with AV and now tell to all “Never touching this AV again”, and so on… Also very funny to read some links to old articles with “investigations” (which is very funny as for me), and so on.

First of all huge thank you everybody! Thank you Frank for topic starting, thank you roger_m, Rules and other guys for the tests and opinions.

    What I can to add.
    1. We are from Ukraine, it’s true
    2. We work with Zillya! 6 years. Have some different products, but all with Zillya! name
    3. We have OEM partnership program Co-branding (white label). We have many partners worldwide with this products, and our partners like it.
    4. Zillya! ss absolutely own developing, own software. We have own virus laboratory, own technologies and so on
    5. Our company and our team growing up. Right now we increase our VirLab and work with new line of the products.

Yes, we are not the leaders of the market (not marketing and not technology), but “the road by walking”. We are honest guys, which is do our work good. Any AV have mistakes. Some is need researching, some just some time for solving.
As for now we have near 200.000 customers in Ukraine and also over 500.000 customers in all other countries. We work in the market 6 years. We work with some our OEM partners over 3 years. Year by year our products becomebetter and better.

    So, see you soon again.

I think I'll give it a try as well...I try not to listen to the braying crowd....I've always liked this sage advice...

"There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all arguments and which can not fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance-that principle is contempt prior to investigation."

Your Welcome Oleg. And thank you for coming and joining us at Wilders.

This sounds like an honest and sincere approach. This is a welcome approach here at Wilders.

That is excellent. We will watch your product and hope great things happen. I encourage you to sign with AV-C when you are ready so we can see how you are doing.

Since it is my personal policy to always be polite to quality vendor reps, I retract my negative comment from above... the "pile of garbage" comment. What I meant to say is that Zillya! is a pile of goodness.... yeah, that's it. It's a pile of potential goodness. The garbage comment is the fault of Mortal Raptor. We will discipline him for that rudeness.

Anyway, thank you for your participation, and please keep coming back.

And... be safe over there. Holy Cow, you guys have a mess on your hands. In support of your cause, I will personally boycott Kaspersky.

Clubhead, that is not polite to call your fellow Wilderites braying (donkeys). It is also ironic... Stop your braying. Thank you.

    Your Pal,

    Frank

    Eck,

I don't think there is a lot of bloat in Zillya! (the exclamation mark is part of the official name).

Let us know how your test goes. I'll be watching this one now. I like our new pal Oleg.

I liked it, aside from the false positives, which sadly are still a big issue.

I`m hoping Frank as you said that there`s gonna be a nice portion of bloat around the main "meat" as we all know it`s the fat that makes it taste better.

Maybe after my highly scientific and thorough testing and recommendations Oleg might even consider a name change from Zillya! to Bloat! Antivirus or something like that.

Well it wont be this weekend as I have to thoroughly test my own physical system against the onslaught of various beverages etc....the things you gotta do.:D

    Regards Eck:)

LOL.... The Eckster should be a comedian. Of course most won't understand the 'bloat joke.' But I do.

Yes indeed --- we all must do what we gotta do. My weekend onslaught will be starting soon.

    Hava good Zillya! weekend.

Got around to checking Zillya! out.

The GUI is old school which is good as I`m a bit fed up with the tiled metro look prevalent here there and every where. The ram usage may seem a bit high but it had no effect on performance.A few false positives and the detection rate could be better but a fast scanning speed is good.

A lot of features not working in safe mode(maybe only in the paid version?) but if they improve detection rates and cut the false positives then this could be the AV a lot of people are looking for i.e. Does what it says on the tin, no muss no fuss AV that could run along side the likes of CFW etc.

    I like it.:thumb:

I'm sure it is a limitation of the product, not just the the free version. @OlegSych perhaps you could consider adding safe mode support to Zillya!

That's what I'm talk'in 'bout -- we are all sick of the tiled metrosexual look so prevalent in AV design today.

Maybe all our searches are coming to an end. Maybe @roger_m will go from testing 300 software packages a year to zero.. (I said "maybe").

The Eckster has spoken.... with a gigantic yellow thumbs up.

The End is near (depending on what 'end' you are talking about).
