Siketa, your log is really messed up! I wonder if VS really is having trouble finding the path to all of those executions. What OS are you using?

I don't use Chrome. Does Chrome have it's own sandboxing? I have a killer headache right now, but I will install Chrome a little later to see if I experience the same.

Cool, I will respond to the posts I missed a little later, but first I am going to check into the chrome issues. They will be easy to fix once I can reproduce them. But I had a couple of questions for the people who are having issues with Chrome and VS.

First, is Chrome installed in the C:\Program Files or C:\Program Files (x86) folder?

Also, what extensions are you using? Please let me know and I will fix this asap!

Edit: Also, do these issues happen when the "Enable VoodooShield anti-exploit protection" is unchecked?

I knew this would be a difficult feature to add, but once it is bug free, I think it will be worth it.

I did see j reverted autostart at reboot (successfully!), but not seeing any significant delay on my xp and j seems aok here so far.

    1) My Chrome is installed in C:\Program Files (x86) folder
    2) I use 'ublock' and 'Hola Better Internet' extensions
    3) My VS is Free and no settings' changes were made

    Two text changes suggestions:

    1) In Advanced option "Do not whitelist items in the appdata or programdata directories", replace word "directories" with "folders".
Also, maybe there should be AppData and ProgramData, with capital letters?

    2) "Show button to allow false positives if threat is detected instead of link".
I think "Show button instead of link to allow false positives when threat is detected" sounds better.

    Question:

"Reset Whitelist" and "Update Check" buttons are visible in all tabs/menus, except Web Apps.

Isn't it more logical to put "Reset Whitelist" only in "Whitelist" and "Update Check" only in "About" tab?

    Feature suggestion:

Under User Log make "Export Log" button.

    Hey Dan :)
The same is here on my board - I'm using 64bit Chrome installed in C:\Program Files (x86) folder with uBlock and Webroot Filtering extensions.

    Best regards :)

I have been back in the VS/WSA snapshot for the last fours or so, and VS is using excessive CPU cycles. Also, presently not responding to right click on the tray icon.

You've already very graciously set me up with a free pro license, I have no issues to report - running very happily with VS :D

    Hi Dan,
    Running 2.31j beta.
I've noticed that when I try to open a .pdf file on a website and Palemoon browser initiates my reader (stduviewerapp.exe), VS blocks it, which I'm presuming is the anti exploit at work - but even after whitelisting it, it blocks it again.
I also see that VS says threats blocked - 8, but where do I find what has been blocked ? and can I reset the number of threats blocked to zero ?
In addition VS has always 'quoted' 8, and even though other things have been blocked, the number of threats blocked remains the same.
    See image.............

    Regards and thanks

    Hi,

I installed Voodooshield (latest beta) on my Windows 8.1 machine yesterday.
Really like the idea of it. However, I have some minor issues with it.

First of all, startup time increased greatly, and when I open up File explorer for the first time, and go into a folder the icons are blank (mostly .exe files). Explorer reloads once or twice, and after that they are displayed correctly.

    Lastly, a small annoyance.
I've played some LoL today, and when I used the minimap to navigate, (which happens to be in the same place as the ON/OFF shield icon) accidentally clicked on the toggle button and ended up on desktop.

Could you please add full screen app support (game mode?), so it doesn't interfere with them, or make the simple right click menu optional in the free version? :)

Thanks for the reply @WildByDesign Yesterday I got a Windows update and disabled protection on VS. All went well with the update. :thumb:

    Hi Dan

Have a problem with ver J. It won't install properly/crashes with a pop up say it cannot connect on line. It also caused Private F/w to crash. Seems there is a conflict there. Will have to return to some earlier version for now.

    Hi Dan,
Update to post 6418 above, re continual blocking of certain apps even though whitelisted.
I've had to disable the anti exploit function as it was making things too difficult - because it was continually blocking various legit progs even though they were whitelisted numerous times.
See how we go with it disabled and will report back later.

I must say I've been using Voodoo Shield for about a week now and I'm really enjoying it. I really like the simplicity and the protection of Voodooshield. Keep up the good work.
