Here is the latest version with color tweaks. Please keep in mind that the buttons themselves are previews of the colors, so they do not act like normal buttons. I am looking into the windows service startup gui feature, along with the new desktop shortcut feature. I just figured I would post this in case anyone created a really cool theme that we could use for VS's default colors. I will catch up on the posts I missed soon! Thank you!

    Hey Dan,
Nice color, VS seems to be now even a better looking piece of software, soft for the user senses and their reception and of course without losing its most important advantages - power, strenhgt and the highest level of protection against threats.
The new color version has appealed to my taste - I like it very much :thumb:.
    Well done :)!

    Thanks,

    Mike

    Hi Dan

Just installed ver d, but still have the same problem with Otter. It is not the program or Sandboxie, but it is the instruction to load the profile from another place. "G:\Program Files (x86)\Otter Browser\otter-browser.exe" --profile "F:\program settings\Otter\Otter"

Installed 2.31e over the top - no issues so far.
I do like the options to change colours around.

Visual Studio 2015 comes with a new feature to add more security to your applications. It's called CFG (control flow guard). You can read more about it from the link below. I hope some of the older versions of Visual Studio also incorporate this feature. http://blogs.msdn.com/b/vcblog/archive/2014/12/08/visual-studio-2015-preview-work-in-progress-security-feature.aspx

My email application mailbird (http://getmailbird.com) stopped loading emails since installing voodooshield 2.31e . When I click an email, it just saying "loading message" and never loads. I tried whitelisting it, turning off the shield and still emails doesnt load. I uninstalled voodooshield and emails started working fine. I gave it a second chance and again mailbird stopped loading emails. I think there is a conflict and I cant get mailbird working with voodooshield.

It sounds like Dan may need to send you some diagnostic code to see what is being blocked.

    Hello Dan,

There is a typo error, it should be "component" instead.

It might be around way back as users seldom will encounter this error.

    Hi Dan

A bit late to the v2.31e party...but have now installed it on both my systems and I am not sure what is happening but seems to be a retrograde step in terms of performance when compared to v2.30...not exactly what the issue is but startup seems slower and the whole app less responsive so have reverted to release version to double check.

    Regards, Baldrick

Hey everyone, I will catch up on the posts I missed tomorrow. Here is the latest version, I actually added a lot of little things. The desktop shield gadget now has a tiny progress bar when it is busy. I am going to see if there are any other times when VS is busy that I might have missed, and display the progress bar. Also, I tried several different progress indicators... I thought it would be cool to make the shield "shine" like a spotlight was going over it or something, but I could not get it look right, and besides, I think the tiny progress bar makes more sense. But if anyone has any other suggestions, please let me know!

I also integrated the snapshot / user log completely into settings, and now there is an option to either have the 4 data grid view tabs maximize or not. I actually like when they do not maximize, that way the user does not have to click the close button each time. The only downside is that there is not as much room for all of the information, but I got used to it quickly. But let me know what you guys think should be the default setting... we can either have it maximized by default or not. The setting is on the Basic tab.

There is also now an undo function on the colors if you right click the button you just changed, then left click to undo.

There are a lot of other little things that you guys will hopefully like as well! Thank you!

Nice updates! I like the progress bar under the shield. It's a little small though and if I hadn't been looking it might have been overlooked. Also when you save a snapshot or whitelist something I think there should be a progress bar as well. 2.31f is playing nicely with WSA beta and sandboxie on win 8.1 64 bit. Great job!

If you operate in Smart Mode VS protection is not always active. Smart Mode toggles protection on, and off depending on whether the user is using an application that can infect them. Smart Mode enables VS protection only when applications are launched that are capable of infecting the system. So if you launch your web browser for instance, then VS will automatically toggle protection to "ON" because the web browser can be used as a portal to infect the system. If you look in the web apps tab you will see a list of applications that will toggle VS's protection to "ON". The only exception is there is an option to protect the user-space when protection is off in Smart Mode. Also there is an option to toggle protection to on when a USB device is plugged in. I don't have VS installed on this computer so I can't check the latest build of VS to see what changes have been made. I think all that I have informed you is still the case though.

Thanks Cutting, but I would like also to have the explanation from VoodooShield. The smart mode, I knew what it is, but 'always ON' mode is still not clear in my mind.
