I also didn't get it yet. No worries. You'll get it soon.:) Or you could avoid waiting for automatic update and download the latest update manually from your Webroot Console.;)

Just wanted to say that after a quick trial with WSA, i decided to purchase and install. My thoughts are very positive as this has to be the lightest security suite i have ever run. Most of the reviews i had read before installing, said very positive things about WSA but the exception being on detection. For me its a fair trade off as i tend to practice safe hex. The GUI is kickass and very easy to navigate.

So far one very happy camper..:)

    Hi Ni3K

You need not worry about the detection aspect of WSA...it is second to none...most of those who criticise it most probbaly do not understand how WSA work, i.e., simply put the philosophy is that dormant malware is not dangerous malware so WSA ignores dormant malware...but intercepts it as soon as it activates...that is how come it is so light...it only applies resources where required.

    Hope that helps?

    Regards, Baldrick

I just switched into my WSA snapshot, and it has updated automatically. Now at v8.0.7.33, which I assume is a beta.

I just switched to WSA Complete a few days ago because (1) my NOD32 was set to expire in a couple of months and (2) WSA Complete is on Newegg for $14.99 for 5 devices. I'm not married to any one particular company, but I admit I do have an irrational distaste for Norton from years ago. I usually use a dedicated AV with a separate firewall, along with MBAM, but this deal was too good to pass up right now. I like it so far. It's light. It's fast. It's relatively intuitive and easy to work with after just a short time. It stays in the background and minds its own business.

I can't for the life of me, however, figure out how to use the firewall component to block any particular program from access to the internet. I thought it was Block/Allow but that appears to block execution of the process involved, not its access to the internet. I suppose I could go into Windows Firewall to do it, but it just seems like something that a "complete" suite with a firewall component should be able to do as a matter of course. So far, that's my only complaint.

Hello great hear and Welcome! Are using Win 8.1 or some other OS? In case you are here is some info on the firewall on Win 8.1: https://community.webroot.com/t5/Id...tions-fw-control-in-Win-8-Win-8-1/idi-p/60003 and read all the comments the same for Win 10 Preview. If it's another OS see here: http://www.webroot.com/En_US/Secure...4_Firewall/CH4c_ManagingActiveConnections.htm and see here to what Webroot suggests: http://www.webroot.com/En_US/SecureAnywhere/PC/WSA_PC_Help.htm#C4_Firewall/CH4a_ManagingFirewall.htm also some use a third party firewall like Windows Firewall Control https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/windows-firewall-control-4.347370/page-55#post-2465656 but be sure if you get infected WSA's Firewall is designed to block Malware calling out to it's Command Center on all OS's. But most use WSA's Firewall with Windows Firewall for full protection but the choice is yours if you want to add a Third party Firewall.

    Cheers,

    Daniel :)

You can ring the sales team and be taken off auto-renewal or you can do it on-line.
