Don't know if this question has been asked but can someone tell me if there is anything I need to do to run VS and Sandboxie together or can I just download VS and run it alongside SB. I already understand that there is a small bug with VS that prevents SB from emptying the sandbox but has been fixed in the current beta. Im interested in really trying VS so if anyone can help me out I'd appreciate it.

VS runs outside SBox. Other apps may make a consideration for SBoxie. At this time to my knowledge. VS does not. So, test VS with or without SBoxie running. VS does not communicate with SBoxie. VS runs outside not through SBoxie. Yes, VS conflict with sandboxie delete has been reported fixed.

Hehehe, sorry about that, I really have tried to reproduce the FF bug many, many times, but I cannot do it. Maybe it is a Vista thing? I doubt it is. I can try it on Vista when I get a chance.

BTW, the I figured out the drag and drop issue. The service was disconnecting... it was from the other day when I completely redid the service. I am testing it now, so we will see.

I added the new buttons on the prompts and did a bunch of other little things. Assuming that the drag and drop issue is fixed, I will upload a new version later tonight or tomorrow. Thank you!

    Hey Mike,

Cool, thank you, I appreciate your thoughts! Let me think of some debug code that I can add to VS so we can figure this out once and for all. I will let you know asap. Thank you!

Can you just make a video and post it? It might be easier.

Ok Dan, many thanks for your reply :)
I'm using VS all the time (because in my opinion it's an awesome Piece of software) and testing another new betas with excitement.
I'm also patiently waiting for your ideas and hope this issue could be solved somehow.

    Kindly regards,

    Mike

I've been using Windows 10 TP builds exclusively for a little over 4 months now and had also tested VS on several different TP builds during that time and quite thoroughly. This was 64-bit, to be specific. I had zero issues to report with regards to VS on Windows 10. Although I haven't tested it yet since Dan added compilation of different .NET versions to the latest VS installers. But from what I've read, VS seems to perform even more efficiently now because of that along with other changes made to VS beta versions.

I will reply to the new posts later today, but here is the latest version. The last version or two had a bug in the service (since I completely redid the service), so please upgrade asap, this version is running great!

The drag and drop issue (and other service related issues) should be fixed and all of the prompts are new.

I think this version is extremely stable, so unless you guys find a bug, I will release this version to the public soon, and there probably will not be any new releases for a couple of weeks.

Thanks again for all or your help!

Drag and drop work great. Sandboxie delete issue is gone. Running smoothly on Win 8.1 64bit along with WSA beta and sandboxie. One suggestion...when you drag and drop a file it only gives you an option to install or block. Could it be possible to give a cancel or later button? I know you can go to the install and cancel it once it comes up but I think giving the option in VoodooShield might be easier. Just a thought.

    Hi Dan

Thanks for all the hard work. Now installed on both my Win7 64bit & Win8.1 32bit systems...trying an install over the top rather than the uninstall/clean install method as I expect that when you switch the updater on it will be an over the top experience unless one wants to carry out a uninstall/reinstall. It will be intgeresting to see if I notice any difference given the different installation method this time. I will let you know.

    Regards, Baldrick

BTW, if the desktop shield gadget takes a couple of seconds to start, it is because I am loading the settings data on startup, that way the settings window opens much quicker. The problem is that if I do that, then it takes a second or two for the desktop shield gadget to show. I will reply to the posts above a little later, thank you!

Installed 2.23i as a new install. I'm using VS with NOD 32, and AppGuard. All is well so far.

Unfortunately the latest build shows the same behaviour on my system as previous...no way to remember my own settings. I know...Vista and even more - in Polish version...always some troubles :thumbd:
    It's only "not-obliging-thoughts" ;)

    Many thanks Dan:)
Latest build seems to be very stable and works great both with Webroot (beta) and SpyShelter. I don't have any new issues to report :thumb:

    Hi ichito :)
Yeap, it's probably casued by our Polish versions of Windows - I've still got this problem on Windows 8.1 PL 64bit
