    They do play together, but why not and then some?

    Combining an anti-exe, driver and maybe some sort of dll monitoring would make it unbeatable, No virus Thanks has so many useful utilities, it just makes sense to me to combine some. To name a few;

    Kernel mode drivers manager
    Ring 3 api hook scanner
    Dll uninjector
    Anti rootkit
    Write Process Memory manager
    Handle tracer

    Individually i dont know if they get much love apart from Driver Radar. But together, the software is already there to be utilized in a much more proficient way for the user.

    Sorry Andreas no pressure, just sharing an opinion. I trust what you do.

    regards.

    Agreed. I always thought that ERP could be the freeware (with donations) but something like this, the combined efforts of all the programs you've listed into the pro version. I'd be willing to buy that (again) and after people saw how great the freeware was, they'd be more inclined to upgrade

    OK, that makes sense. Like I said, it's a bit unusual, but you know what you're doing. I also noticed that ERP's GUI is loaded by the service as well, you don't see this often.

    Not a fan of one size fits all. One update can break a suite of Tools. Coding has to be simpler / more straight forward as discrete offerings.
    For me it's like a security suite that adds TuneUp Tools. I don't want TuneUp Tools even if I may disable. I don't want them distracting my UI.
    But, that's what suites do....bundle engines. Well, ERP is great as ERP. I don't mind an extra tray Icon for DRP. Imagine the learning curve of a bundled offering. Imagine navigating a bundled offering.
    I would not be inclined to upgrade for a bundle of Tools. $.02

    Is there any way to blacklist a command line?
    ""C:/Program Files/NVIDIA Corporation/Display/nvtray.exe" -user_has_logged_in 1"

    Damn NVIDIA spies...

    This is probably not what you are looking for but you can try the following:

    Add it to "Settings>Password Options>Protected Process>Manage command-lines list" but when an alert box pops up, you will have to click "Cancel" to block it.

    I will give it a shot, see how she feels.. thanks!

    EDIT: That is a pretty decent approach to what I was after... whenever that command line is executed, a password prompt pops up. Upon clicking cancel, NVT pops up a dialog box saying something like "wrong password for executing process". Click on the Ignore button and live happily ever after! Thanks busy!

    Hello marzametal

    Thanks for your signature info ~ hardenwindows ~ great info

    Other issue....having to drop to Alert from Lockdown for Flash. Is that just the nature of Lockdown re Flash.
    For Lockdown Mode...I have Ask user what to do...
    But, for Flash ~ No Alert dialog. Firefox freeze is my Alert

    Me neither, i dont want it turning into something its not, and especially turning into something like TuneUpUtilites. ERP with Something else would be killer, will minimal extra overhead, as much of NoVirusThanks GUI is similar throughout its product line. ERP would just have a couple more tabs (without thinking about about extra code or hooks).

    Anyway, lets move on from this..

    regards.

    Hi NVT...two questions:
    - where is the option in settings to start ERP automaticly with the system...I can't find it
    - on Win 8.1/64-bit process of ERP won't start (is not presented as working process) but service of ERP is working...so there is no app...and no protection?

    //Everyone

    Thanks for the feedbacks!

    @marzametal

    We may add possibility to blacklist command-line strings soon. Also other users have asked this option as I remember.

    @bjm_

    You have to whitelist processes related to Flash player when Flash is being updated or you should switch to Alert mode in that case.

    Probably I will add an option "Auto-allow safe program updates" that will take care of Flash updates, Java updates, etc. via internal rules.

    @ichito

    ERP is now started automatically from the service, as it is a real-time security software there is no need to disable the startup :)

    I have ERP runnin in Win 8.1 64-bit and it runs fine, I have few questions:

    1) Can you make some screenshots of the problem ?
    2) If you run ERP manually, does it start ?
    3) What other security software do you have installed ?
    4) Are you using the latest build ?

    Yeah, this is not an update issue afaik. Even with latest version updated / installed....from Lockdown Mode Firefox will freeze sometimes upon Flash content. I have to drop to Alert for Allow then go back to Lockdown. I have Lockdown Mode at Ask user... But, for Flash no Ask user dialog ....just Freeze as if Freeze is the Alert dialog for Ask user. Not a deal breaker. Just interesting as I am Ask from Lockdown Mode for user action.....just not Flash ?

    This has already been discussed. It's much handier to give an "Install mode" option inside the alert-window, this way you won't have to (partly) disable protection.

    Okay.... guess I was out sick that day. You want an "Install" in the Alert dialog. Okay
    I remember, when there were multiple Lockdown modes.... just curious why we need another mode. Okay
