CPU usage

    Acronis 8 uses 100% CPU compared to version 7 which was around 20% anyone else noticed this?

    Also seems to take longer to make an image. Is this related to the default compression settings? Have they changed?

    Hello --

    Actually I think the cause is in the priority. Try to set a lower priority to the imaging process and see if the cpu usage % decreases.

    We did try that, setting it to a lower priority didnt seem to help. The box was still completely crawling (could barely RDP in, all other apps pretty much died.)

    Well, if you have the latest build, then please write to our main Support - support@acronis.com.

    Your problem will be investigated thoroughly and most likely our developers/engeneers will find where the glitch is.
