Good Afternoon! Peter2150...thanks for your Prompt Reply....wasn't aware of the first procedure. I did try to use the regular Windows installer...but it stated it couldn't locate the path for AppGuard...and I've used Revo in the past and have been satisfied with it's performance. And AppGuard doesn't provide it's own uninstaller. I'm wondering does it provide one? Sincerely...Securon

    Hi Securon

First I had it backwards you have to tick the tamperguard setting. I've just used the windows uninstaller and it works fine, but unless you turn of the protection and tamperguard, that might indeed cause what you saw. I'd first image the system, and then install and then retry uninstalling, by 1)turning of the protection, 2) tick the tamperguard box, and then just use the windows uninstaller.

Hi Peter! I'll reboot too see if AppGuard re-appears and then tick the tamperguard setting and take it from there. Thanks for your Reply. Sincerely...Securon

    Hi everyone!!!
I am new to this forum and sorry for not introducing properly myself before.

I have AppGuard with Locked Down protection and my browsers in Sandboxie (just browers). Now, I have all alerts configured to be reported as well and just want to know if this activity report is considered to be a sign of alarm or programs malfunctions due to AppGuard's policies.

Hi Mister X, welcome to the forum.

Blocked events rarely have any impact on a program's ability to function normally. The events in your activity report are quite typical of the sorts of behaviour that AppGuard routinely blocks, and which rarely causes any problems.

Unless a program mentioned in the report isn't functioning properly (unlikely), you can just ignore the blocked events relating to it.

Many thanks pegr, this insight of yours will help me a lot to understand AppGuard's behavior and interactions with my many other programs and although they pose a larger attack surface hopefully I could master AppGuard to its max potential someday to block such attacks.

    Hi Mister X

Go thru the help file, take a look at PEGR's guide at the beginning of this thread, and keep asking questions. You will catch on and really appreciate this software.

I need a little help, please. I am looking for something that could protect my gamer laptop (decently) without draining too many resources. So I saw Appguard and wanted to try it out, to see how it would behave in a gamer environment. But my problem is, that I can't find the download link for a trail version on Blue Ridges own website( I had tried appguard before when it was only an anti executable, but much has happened since, it seems) . Is it not still possible to try it out first? Sorry, if my question seems foolish and out of place in this thread.

    10/29/14 14:03:05 Prevented process <delegate_execute.exe | c:\windows\system32\svchost.exe> from launching from <c:\users\opm\appdata\local\chromium\application\40.0.2204.0>.

I can't start chromium from the shortcut on the desktop. If I exclude it it will not be protected by AppGuard correct?

Never mind, I have to run it as administrator and it starts. I guess because its in the users folder. AppGuard is still watching it because it is preventing things in the log. All is well.

Are there ever any sales or discounts on this product?

I have one license of it installed on one of my servers at home (lockdown mode). But would enjoy a few more licenses on some other machines.

Then you should see it's value, and be willing to spend the money

I'm willing to spend money, but that doesn't mean I am stupid or lack patience to not watch for sales/discounts/specials, especially for auxiliary, or non-essential tools/applications.

From what I have seen mayahana, you are running servers etc. I am just a single person with no internet businesses and paying for AppGuard is what felt ok. Especially after Barb phoned me one time a some months ago. Sounds a bit disgusting you begging for discounts. Think about people working behind AG.

Have the columns inside the Appguard Customize panel tabs ever been sortable?

Contact AppGuard@BlueRidge.com. They may provide you with a coupon (no promises - that's not my department).

Hey there, I encountered an issue like this previously when i used a saved (from the temp folder) msi to install within a virtual machine [rather than the exe]. My solution was the find the *actual* location of the msi and copy/rename it to the expected location in C:\windows\installer\ then uninstall it.

Your situation is a little different as you used an uninstall program (which seems to have missed something) but your statement of not detecting the installer then using a system restore brings up the chance that it is still expecting it be there. Did you by chance use a saved msi instead of the original exe?

Is AppGuard a yearly subscription fee or...? Both AppGuard web sites plus F.A.Q. are not specific at all and appears to be a one-time payment. I don't want to start adding credit card data and find surprises later. Could somebody with a paid licence please confirm for me? Thank you for your time.
