Hello, I am starting a thread here about Data Health Check to get some feedback from you guys.

Data Health Check is a simple to use portable application to check your files for corruption.
It can also be used to quickly compute the md5 hash of a single file, like a Windows iso, to check if the file has been tampered by a malicious party.

Are you using the latest version of firefox ? It seems Cloudflare ssl has problem with older browsers.

How does it work? From the website it appears that it first computes the md5 hash of files, and if a subsequent run of the file/folder shows a different md5 then the file/folder is flagged. Is this correct?

Yes :) The first time a folder is scanned it adds all the files md5 and last modification date to a database. For subsequent runs it will rescan the folder and build a list of all the files and if a file previously existed it will compare the current "hash/modification date" with the old "hash/modification date" from the database to determine if the file is unchanged/changed/corrupt. If the file is changed it will add the new md5 hash to the database and if new files are found their hashes will be added to the database.

I'm still debating wether I should go open source or not.
