    Hello,
We have new retail boxes out there with Avira 2015 imprint. E.g. available on Amazon as new bundles - including the recent Antivirus Pro 14.0.6.

After upgrading Avira Pro to the new 7.306 level, I may be having both slowdowns and lockups in email using Thunderbird. It IS possible that Comcast is the culprit, so the jury is still out. I will update this thread later today and let everyone know if my email problems continue or not.

According to the changelog, there is nothing for Mail Protection in Update 7.

    Check your inbox. ;)

As requested, I read the changelog you sent to my inbox and stand corrected.:D I have NOT had anymore issues with email or any problems with my two different Windows 8.1 systems that have be upgraded to the 7.306 version. Sorry for jumping the gun earlier...

    Hi

A simple question - is there still compatibility problems between Avira av`s and MBAM pro/premium ?

One more - about a year ago many experienced looong boot time with Avira - so did i - is that solved ?

How do I update to the latest 2015 version, will it be automatically or do I download it manually ? My license for Avira Pro runs out 8-6-20015.

    :)

no offense but if it has been released, then it should be downloading to all customers. Geez, going back to Panda.

It will take time when released. You should know the drill by now.

you will get any updates for the avira program through the program's updater, automatically..

there is no need for you to install a "2015" version.. i don't even think that there will be a "2015" version, despite the fact that someone says that there are boxes with "2015" on them.. avira has said that there would be no more new versions, just updates for the current version..

avira determined that the "slow boots" were caused by the buggy MBAM-2 program.. if you dump the MBAM-2 program, the problem will be solved..

another option would be to use the "old" MBAM program, build 1.75, which doesn't have all of the same problems that the MBAM-2 program has..

the slow boot times were not only caused by mbam i was not running it on any pc and had the massive slowdown on boot up. its fixed now though as far as i can tell.

there could be many various reasons for a computer's being "slow" to boot, including a failing harddrive.. i don't think the problem was with the avira programs..

100% it was avira. for me at least. the minute avira was removed boot times were normal again. tested many times on multiple systems (6 or 7 if i remember correctly) with the same result. it was for sure from avira. but as i said now the boot times are normal again.
