The future of Opera bookmarks arrives to our freshly renamed Opera beta channel(formerly known as Opera Next). With Opera beta 25 we introduce a new way to experience bookmarks. Instead of just marking the page you can choose an image to go with it. With Opera bookmarks you are collecting “things” not just “links”. This build should be a start up version for all those who complained for lack of bookmark manager in Opera.
Surely not. They simply prioritised other things at first. Since version 15 (the first Blink build) they said that BM will be included but in later builds. Impatience caused all the havoc.
Had to uninstall Opera 25 Beta, since there's no Bookmark Manager or File Import/Export feature to import bookmarks from Firefox. What a pity!
It imports automatically. Though they are aware the import feature is not optimal yet, as these features will probably come in O26.
The bookmarks importing issue had a workaround, but the last time I heard it does not work on all systems. Although I have to appreciate the will to improve the software, it is still silly to have a web browser to not being able to import and manage bookmarks like the way it should. The integrated PDF reader is tempting tough.
