    you are welcome.

I think 360 folks should set the setting from that pic as the default setting.

By the way, people with macrium reflect installed, becarful as 360 TS still detects it as unwanted when the pc is scanned and REMEMBER TO ADD MACRIUM REFLECT DETECTED BY 360 TO WHITELIST OR SKIP.

360 or qihoo guys should really fix these false-positives.

I am still on recommended setting with this, no problem.

But nice to know that with this people are gonna solve that problem if they have it, thanks to you!

Yeah, the program is bad in that regard. It almost always gives me issues when Dropbox updates.

BTW - has Qihoo even commented on why the local signatures are off by default? Does everyone just turn them on manually, or is it not really necessary?

Performance reasons, but they are taking notes how many people demand default security profile after installation.
For normal usage, Qihoo engines are capable enough to handle most things, but having it on security is more secure, but also higher usage in RAM, and possibly on I/O [slower startup] and Qihoo proactive defense [CPU usage].
Most of the time advanced users [people who know what they are doing] see if they can live with 2 extra engines on their machine.... Novice users are just install&play...

You could give this feedback also to the Qihoo guys so that they can adjust default settings and set a little bit higher, i guess some bad connections to countries in europe could be the problem with these slow updates....

Hi Kuzim, how about the BitDefender engine after installing the latest version 5.0.0.2000?
How about clicking the upgrade button for checking it manually?
If the issue stills exists, please leave us a message to support[at]360safe.com and let us to take some other method to help you.
    Best Regards

It's good that this is adjustable but I'm not sure it should be set faster by default.
The prevalence of multi-core CPUs and OSs with better task prioritizing means that most AVs no longer have throttling built-in. Qihoo is one of the few that does which is great for users still running XP on single core CPU machines, and with its cloud engine remaining active during long updates, the risk of infection is minimal.

also please improve the 360 web browser.

please make 360 browser lighter as it is heavy in ram (using 200MB upto 300MB) and causes quick spikes reaching 100% resource usage sometimes.

Any news about the old avira signatures? On the interface it is reported "virus database date: 2014/09/02"
But if I check into the Avira database folder (TotalSecurity/deepscan/SDEng/Savapi), it is reported this:

    Virus Database File
    Version: 7.11.170.50
    FUP: 1
    License date: 31.8.2014
    VDF date: 31.8.2014
    Minimum engine: 7.9.4.32
    Signatures: 7192243
    Required linked VDF: 7.11.170.11
    Source: 7.11.170.50
    Compiler: 1.5.0.4

Did you enable Security protection mode under Protection tab?
Did you restart and tried again?

Here is a snapshot 360 TS still finding macrium and angular cleaner that should be addressed. It pops up every time scan is finished and I have to skip it.

For the time being, please confirm it still finds those entries after you put the WHOLE macrium installation folder in TS Trust List.

Somebody can explain the use of download manager?
    Thanks.

Download of virus sigs and general update. Uses P2P tech for data transfer. Unconfirmed but also for unknown files upload analysis, that's speculation on my part...
