Its the anitvirus poll, not the " do you use an anitvirus poll". "None" should be off the list.

I think it's a good option. This way we can see how many don't use any AV. I don't see a problem here.

Because then it would not be an accurate poll. For the record None is always in the top three position, so it definitely says something, especially on Wilders.

Plus, it depends on how you approach the poll. It doesn't ask "What's your favorite AV" or "What AV do you use", it simply says Antivirus Poll and either or both questions could apply.

None, waste of cpu/ram & money for the paid ones, they transmit personal data plus they offer little to no protection (or a false sense of security which is worse IMO) these days, basically ALL (without a single exception) the AV products are snake oils, at best.

I think I've presented it wrong. Let me try it again: What if one considers Sandboxie as an antivirus? It does block virus. :D

But if you really really had to use one which one would you choose ?

See now you can vote without the none option.;)

Still none, because I don't have to, and I don't use one, which is what I thought the poll was trying to determine.

I think it is more representative if everybody gets a chance to vote according to what they are currently doing, rather than excluding some people from voting at all.

I think None is a valid option. I voted Other and None. The anti-virus (actually part of a suite) I use is not listed so Other applies. I also voted None because I don't use an anti-virus in all systems. My Other vote is in post #20.

Not at all. I have been quite busy and I have also drifted away into the blackhole of the Linux world. Im glad you picked up the ball.
I voted for Panda on Windows and None on Linux.

I was kind of wondering if it would be taken as an unethical cheap move by taking over the poll without permission, but you know how important this poll is in my point of view. Well yeah, maybe I'm taking internet forums too seriously, but still... :p

I've recently gone Panda Free on my laptop. I first used the Panda Cloud on its initial release as I desperately needed a light AV with only 1GB RAM. It was the first freeware AV I ever ran. Still with MSE on my x64 desktop.

I'm still using WSA. And I think it'll stay in my devices for a long. After all it's the lightest, fastest and most effective av with stellar support. :)

I'm still using no antivirus. But, I have tried a few in the last few days, only to uninstall them pretty quickly.

Not used an AV for about 6 months. Just do on demand scans every week with EEK and MBAM.

KIS 2015 exclusively. This will finally be the year I let all of my other licenses run out without renewing them.

    Voted for ESET.
    Switched from VIPRE.
ESET is better... better interface, better detections, has HIPS capabilities, more popular among Wilders members, which means something to me.

PS - I overlooked voting for MBAM Premium. No going back to change vote.

Why are you not using v.9 of EAM? Did you have any problems?
