Has there been any response on the outdatedness of the BD and Avira signatures?

From my side, I've done my part, provided info, no response back via email. So, I guess, I must have been going on their nerves so they trashed my email :)
Maybe I was not polite enough :)

GakunGak, you were not too impolite and you didn't get on their nerves. They just don't care about issues such as the outdated signatures of BD and Avira. I have said it before but they don't want a true give and take with the end user. TS is free so take it or leave it is how Wilder members have been treated. Why give them any ink here going forward? That might be the only way to get them to address all the issues with TS that have been brought up here over the last four or five months. If I were going to use a free product again I would use Avast with all the settings maxed and hardened mode and PUP's activated. In my testing Avast had a detection rate of about 97%. GakunGak, you have done more than anyone could possibly ask of you so don't get down on yourself. :)

That's a really nice setup IvoShoen. Did you activate hardened mode in Avast settings? If not, you should and PUP's, too!

Thanks. Honestly, I could live with a few days outdated BD&AV. Added Malwarebytes realtime in to the mix.
Still, I will watch them pretty closely, they said they are adding firewall in the future version on Facebook.....

I switched from Avast Internet Security into this, cause my quad-core laptop was a waaaaaaay too slow with Avast.
Can't believe what a resource hog their IS is..
I liked it,but I don't like to wait for Windows being useable after 5 minutes of booting up it, when my OS is ready for use in less than a minute with this.

I did not activate hardened mode because I prefer to have PFW with it's HIPS and process detection do the work. I did turn up the heuristics and turned PUP protection. I turned off PFW's automatic response which also gives me more control. As for hardened mode, I had a few issues with it blocking some legitimate programs which caused a BSOD.

I sent them two e-mails long time ago.
They never replied, so you're not the only one not getting replies..

I wonder what is that download manager doing in TS, it's not working on my machine.

It is responsible for P2P signature sharing, and engine/signatures download, and I believe [not sure] that it is also responsible for unknown samples upload....

NO, completely different. IDM is for general internet, 360 is for it's own program only

Yes, and I didn't know abou that.
I've had IDM on my machine for years.
    Anyways...
Due to lack of 360's support, and not replying anything about the inquiries of the outdated virus databases,
I decided to switch back to Avast Internet Security after all.. (still got over an year left of my 3 years license..)
I will be watching this thread carefully, and hope the things would get resolved in the future and I can consider
    installing this software back.
Overall, I consider this software very light weight and handy.
They need to fix the bugs with the virtualization and some other stuff..
Maybe I re-install this one day again, but for now... No.

I always return to avast! no matter what, so i'm not even going to bother testing others. Even though avast! detection is not superior, the rest basically is. Will see what will happen with NG tech when it's released.

As for this 360, on paper engines look nice, but in reality it's all wonky, updates lag behind badly etc. Not cool. Plus i can't ever set it up the way I want it and not the way developers wanted it. avast! always gives me that option.
