Instead of making this cleaner kind of stuff, I would appreciate if they think of including a good firewall....

I installed it on a machine with windows 8.1 64 bit with last update. All seems okay until I reboot: everything was frozen, coudn't even access to the task manager. I had to reboot in safe mode and got rid of it. Does anyone else have this issue?

Seems like Win8.1 compatibility is not yet resolved completely. I remember users reporting Sandbox not working, I suspect driver issue.
Would you be so kind to report this to Qihoo? Your information would help others have that problem resolved and would me much appreciated.

Definitely. Disregard Matousec tests. If any tests should be taken seriously, then from AV test or AV comparative.

Matousec and AV/Comparatives are two different kinds.
Matousec deals with HIPS/BB, ability to withstand shutdown and self protection, as well as of the whole system, while AV/Comparatives are "traditional" malware scan 'n' clean. Other than Matousec, I am not aware of anyone else doing what they do.
If we are to judge by reputation ONLY, then my opinion is that "Real World" test is where we should look at. Or just by personal experience.
Waiting for Total Security to jump into tests soon....
People, relax, you're gonna have a heart attack of these tests. Sometimes, I wonder why not people switch to Linux Mint and just rest. Oh, right, because of these tests... No fun when you can't switch AV based on their current test performance :) /ironysarcasm

Sure but what I tried to support is the fact that Matousec tests are highly questionable and aren't well received by the professional community.

The rest of your reply is subject of never ending philosophical debate :D

AV Comparatives just recently got ISO approved. Does that mean we should dismiss ALL previous tests because of lack certification/audit?
Whatever the case, if additional strengthening required, an user should just install additional HIPS and auto-sandbox containment, like Comodo.
EDIT: going far offtopic, sorry mods.

I'm well aware of the same but still considering the product I stated that...

At this time, they have no interest in making one, saying their network protection module is good enough...

Can you kindly elaborate a bit? How that module works, does this module control outbound and inbound traffic etc.

    Thanks!

Not having access to their facebook page to find it, but will try to recreate from bad memory, what they said basically is that they have that network protection module that works in a sense, how to put it, block network malware and certain exploits [think of malware payload and most common delivery technique] rather than block in/out all programs.I come home in 6 hours from now and if I remember, I will look into it and copy/paste the whole thing, or like their page and see all posts if you cannot wait that long. Their FB page posts section sometimes contain more useful info than posted anywhere else.

I think it would be cool to have Q360 developer/representative here.
Though I imagine his PM's would be flooded with messages tho :)

Thanks for the interesting info! I will wait for more information here on Wilders as I don't have a Facebook account (sorry I hate Facebook). Having Q engineer directly here would be definitely beneficial.

Either that, or have "Weekly Bulletin" or something question/answer week, where interesting questions would be asked via email and replied back.
Depending on the number of votes for the question, it gets priority, and respectable member of Wilders could send it to them and post back reply...

Good choice. PrivateFirewall with it's HIPS sure does add awesome protection capability [intercept before run/modify]...
Though it can be chatty, still a good and easy to use choice....

That is another story then. A more secure would be at Medium, but it is a nice network only environment.
Thanks for sharing your config, it is most appreciated!

Your are welcome. Thought 360's in house behavioural protection should be enough, because 2 HIPS running same time trying to catch each other just makes additional load for system.

I believe Total uses Behaviour Blocker, not HIPS, while 360 Internet Security is HIPS-ish?
If TS uses HIPS, it is one of the quietest I have ever seen....

Maybe I'm mistaken. Would be interesting to clarify this one. From earlier experience with PFW - it was mind blowing experience enabling process monitor - it blocked programs and you had to become half time unpaid investigator to find out what went hammock.
